sub-standard gum care! Missed important universal x-ray resulting in bone loss, damage, missed prescribing night guard in timely way, expensive.

I would not recommend Dr. Wohl. My two children (who were early grade-school age when patients and I were patients of Dr. Wohl for approximately 5 years. There were a few times that I felt he was overbooked, running from patient to patient and appearing to be somewhat stressed out, acting a bit short with me. My daughter as well (and only when she was older, articulated to me her displeasure with him) had experiences that she described as negative. She describes his behavior toward her when she was displaying hight anxiety as being sharp/cross and impatient. I had two caps (given the choice of having them done simeautaneously) done and experienced a month of headaches. I wouldn't pin the reaction on his work, but perhaps a heads-up on potential reaction would have been appropriate here. Mainly the work on the caps was disappointing and they have been the site of ongoing problems. My son was neutral about his experience. Unlike my daughter or me, he had only check-ups and cleanings.

This is a good practice. After having been with several different practices that I did not like, I found this one and have been very satisfied.

Went to Dr. Wohl because of contacts. He seems to run a dental mill. Has a large office and goes from patient to patient., never spending more than a couple of minutes with each. I can't understand how he is able to keep track of all of us. I think the quality of his work is poor. He did a lot of work on some fillings fillings and crown for me. I have already had one of the filliling replaced by another dentist and am developing a toothache in the crown area that Wohl worked on. When I talk with other people who've been to this dentist quite a few were not happy. Will not go back.

About Hygienist: He does relate well to children and I think the hygenists are tops.

Dr. Wohl was my dentist for 2-3 years. I signed up with Dr. Wohl because he's been voted best of the area where I live for many years. I liked his personality -- friendly, welcoming. The cleanings I got at his office seemed thorough, as much as I can tell! The dental work--several fillings and one root canal and crown -- also seem like excellent work. He and the staff are friendly and professional during the sessions. The crown looks great. I have some trouble with space around it though. I had three related problems and no longer visit Dr. Wohl. 1) I felt like I would ask questions and the responses wouldn't quite answer the question but I felt pressured not to ask more; 2) the staff was reluctant to work with me to find an insurance that they accepted; 3) I would like a dentist who follows up on cleanings/fillings the way, say, a gynecologist does with yearly exams. 4) Because I was without insurance, I'm still paying off the root canal/crown and because of that, Dr. Wohl won't fill another cavity, one that he says might need a root canal if I don't eventually get it filled. The staff didn't suggest an alternative, a dental clinic, an insurance plan, a payment plan, nothing. So, I've switched dentists.
