I would highly recommend Dr. Shih for gum grafting. I live in China and was only visiting home for a short time and she made a great effort to work me into her schedule. She did two gum grafts and I was amazed at how painless the actual procecure was. Three years later, my gums are still great! Dr. Shih is very professional and will ensure that you are comfortable throughout the entire procedure.

I have had a crown lengthening, cleanings/scalings, and 2 extractions. No one likes getting dental work done, so I wouldn't say I LOVE going to see Dr. Shih. However, if my general dentist sends me for a procedure, I would want Dr. Shih to do the work. She is very gentle and thorough. She will tell you if you need something, but honestly, also, if you don't need something. Low pain, reasonable fees, office/front desk helpful with billing, great chair-side manner, her hygienist is nice, too!
I did a lot of scouting around (believe me, when I tell you that I always do my research) and I know she's got the whole package--impeccable credentials, great background/training, and top-notch skills. I trust her and highly recommend her.

Dr. Shih is strongly recommended for all periodontal work needed. She provided excellent care and medical technique, and is very considerate in all aspects of the procedure and patients outcome. My referring dentist is very satisfied with the results of the oral surgery, as am I.

As a referring General Dentist, it is difficult to find just the right balance in a periodontist. With Dr. Shih, I have located the total package of the right periodontist. Dr. Shih has provided my patients for many years with an extremely high quality of dental care . She is very intelligent , highly qualified in all aspects of periodontics but equally as important- she is a kind, caring and moral person. You will be very satisfied whether you are a referring dentist or a patient!

Dr Shih is a top rank Harvard trained periodontist. She uses cutting edge techniques, is kind, and treats her patients with the utmost of respect. I have referred my friends and colleagues to her and all agree with the excellence of her service. Boston is lucky to have her. She has a booming practice but still makes time to give her patients the individual touch that they deserve. You will not be disappointed.
