I had braces on for 2 1/2 years (6 months longer than I was supposed to). I was really good about following the directions, but the staff constantly accused me of chewing gum and eating chewy foods?!? Maybe to shift the blame to me for some reason. They aren't very friendly. I like Dr. Lazzara, but he only sees you for a short time each visit so you have to deal with his impatient staff. So glad when I got my braces off, but not sure my teeth are as straight as they should be. :(
