My daughter and I just saw Dr. Phan for the first time a month ago for a check up and cleaning. We both had to come back to have some cavities filled. My daughter saw her last weekend and complained a lot afterward about how rough she was. I just thought she was being a kid until I went back today. I have had a lot of dental work done in my life because I went through 4 years of braces but I have never been absolutely panicked during the middle of getting worked on at the dentist. I was treated so roughly that I made her stop at one point and asked both the Dr. and the hygienist to be more gentle and careful about banging their tools into my teeth and pulling on my face. This was the most painful and scary experience I have ever had at the dentist in my life and I told them as I left that no one in my family will ever be coming back. The dentist also did not communicate to me at my last visit how much work needed to be done and she did more than she had communicated to me at the last visit which put me out another $160 that I wasn't prepared for. Very rude, terrible communicator, awful bedside manner, and really really rough . . . . I would highly recommend saving yourself the pain and finding another dentist!

Dr. Phan was awful, she did fillings on teeth that didn't need them, and they didn't even last 3 years. She did permanent damage to my teeth and she had an awful bedside manner too. And is not cheap. I went to her when I was brand new to the area with a dental emergency and she was the first dentist who could take me (big mistake - i should have waited). Avoid this dentist at all costs.

I've seen Dr. Phan for the last 5 years. These are what I like about her: she is very honest about what you need and don't need, she knows and recommends the best specialists in town to ensure the success of the treatment, and she is VERY thorough. I have several root canals, and 1 implant -- all recommended and completed by her. I could not be happier with the outcome of the treatments. That is why I choose her even when my insurance plan does not cover her.

I had a few fillings and a crown. Overall work seems fine but was more painful than what I've experienced elsewhere. Had to ask for more novocaine, and she tends to start working before I'm numb. So if you need work done and have a low pain tolerance she is not the dentist for you. If you rank efficiency over comfort then you should be fine. Office staff is very friendly and helpful.

Efficient, small practice. I trust her, which is saying a lot because I don't usually trust dentists and haven't seen the same one twice for 15 years and I'm now going to her regularly

Dr. Phan does very good work but has no sense of patient comfort. I've had root canals and crowns done by her. She once started a procedure without consulting me about it. It turned out to be a very expensive procedure because she couldn't finish it and sent me to a specialist. Everytime I make an appointment with her I feel sick knowing the pain and discomfort I'll be in. I plan on finding a new dentist after she finishes the last thing she started on me. The office staff is great and very helpful and friendly.

I have been a patient of Dr Phan since moving to Arlington from CA. She does a good job for a reasonable price.

I was able to quickly get an appointment with Dr. Phan, and she was convenient to my house and took my insurance. However, I would not recommend her. She did not listen to me when I had questions, and rushed through the cleaning. My previous dentist had done extensive xrays to determine that I needed my wisdom teeth out, and when I mentioned this to Dr. Phan she brushed it off and suggested that I didn't know what I was talking about.
I am experiencing severe pain from loss of tooth enamel, and Dr. Phan did nothing to help alleviate it. I will be going elsewhere in the future.
