this is the worst experience ever, I went today to start my root canal treatment, while he was giving me the shots to numb my mouth, I was anxious btw I'm pregnant so he didn't comfort me all he did was sorry I won't be able to continue I don't want to torture my patient this is against to my career I'll refer you to another root canal specialist while you sleep I was like no, I need to finish he said sorry I'm not comfortable to do. what the hell is that are you specialist or just a student don't know how to comfort your patient. really he gave me hard times in giving me the shots which was my first time to see dentist like that. don't recommend for anyone

I had an exam for and consultation. I did not pursue treatment with this endodontist, primarily due to office staff and policies. Overall, I did not have any complaints about the service from the dentist himself.

About Front Desk: I was highly disappointed in the service from the office staff. I first had trouble scheduling- I received a call the week of my appointment asking to reschedule because they had made a mistake and the dentist would not be in the office at the previously scheduled time. When I asked when they could reschedule, I was told the next available would be in several more weeks, and they could not make accommodations to see me sooner even though the error had been on their part. I then received a call on the day of my rescheduled appointment, asking if I could come in earlier, because I was the last patient of the day and they would like to wrap it up early. It was very unprofessional in my opinion. I also had trouble with their billing policy- I was charged for a portion of the visit, with no explanation. When I confirmed that my insurance covered 100% of the visit, and called to question why I was charged, the assistant explained that the insurance sometimes does not cover it, so they bill the patient, and then issue a refund if the insurance pays. It took over 6 weeks to refund my payment (after three phone calls to follow it up). Additionally, as I left my consultation, I was told that if I scheduled the recommended procedure, payment for it was due at the time of BOOKING. I did not feel this was the kind of dental-patient relationship I was looking for, so I decided to seek treatment elsewhere. In general, I was not pleased with the way the office staff addressed my needs as a patient.

Performed a root canal on tooth #2. I had problems after the procedure and requested information about the material used to as filling material, if amalgam material was used? Dr. Qamar's office would say thay would call me back with the answer, but would never do it. I requested a fax and they would not fax the information. They also over charged me as per my insurance agreement. His office also charged for three seperate consults eventhough I only had one. After repeated phone calls they finally reimbursed my insurance. Extremely non-professional!

I went to Dr. Qumar for a root canal. He seemed very pleasant at first. I was given shots of Novocain - then when he went to begin I mentioned my mouth was not really numb where he had to work yet - he proceeded to roughly JAB me several times (with no concern for the lack of numbness). On the way home I called the office and tried to speak with him requesting he be a bit gentler next time. He proceeded to scream/yell unbelievably, after a 1/2 hour we finally ended the call leaving me with the impression that we could get past this. For 3 days my mouth was sore, the skin felt shredded and it was hard to eat...Ridiculous. Returning a week later (unfortunately) to complete the RC. He entered the room with an attitude. He very nastily gave me the shots and started immediately to try and work, NOT even allowing the time to pass for the shots to take effect. When I raised my hand and said my mouth (Most of it) was not numb he again started to yell and told me he would not finish and TO GET OUT.....which I did very shaken despite the fact that they would give me No refund info. I found a new Dr. paid AGAIN - but UNLIKE Dr. Qumar he was very gentle, professional and thorough! Do your self a favor GO ELSEWHERE!

I have only encountered Dr. Qamar recently, but it has been quite a relevation. I found his practice to be extremely professional and informative with what appears to be state of the art equipment. He went to great lengths to explain my options and provide a prognosis. He has you pay up front but that is not really a problem as everything is thoroughly explained. After an initial consultation, I set up an appointment to have root canal redone the following week. Based upon the inital x-ray, the prognosis was less than stellar. I was given a price for if the procedure went well and a lesser one in case it was aborted due to unforseen problems. He was able to remove the crown and his prognosis was lowered to the point that an extraction was recommended. His secretary was charging me the reduced price when he called her aside. She came back and I was only charged a consult fee. I wish I had found him sooner. I had questioned my regular dentist when having the crown replaced. The temporary came off and I saw that my tooth was black and had an odor. That dentist said he had noticed it but did not know why it was that way, glossed over it and proceeded with the crown. That crown has turned out to be a waste of $
