Crowns do not fit properly, Had crown put in and had wide gap between teeth

About Hygienist: Very rude dental assistant who was not that experienced and appeared to be trying to figure out what to do at each step.

My Experience: Crown

this dentist is very expensive and doesn't give you the time for what he charges. He is always in a hurry which made me feel as though he really doesn't have time for his patients and he comes across as very arrogant and uncaring. Dr Rothchild was just the opposite so I didn't mind spending the money. Also the staff is very unfriendly as well. Also he hours are very limited and it is very difficult to get in to see him due to this.

About Front Desk: very rude and always very difficult with scheduling. H

Had two crowns done which look awful. They have pink spots and white marks and don't fit well. In the process he hit my front tooth and broke another tooth above where he was working. What a mistake to go to him. Terrible experience.

Cost is a little higher than the run of the mill dentist, but everything from the staff greating you by name when you walk in to the quality of care you receive is the best you can find.

About Hygienist: very thourough and very friendly

Apparently, dr B. only does work on you personally if you are actually being billed directly or through the insurance that day. Any follow up and you never see him again! He leaves the job to his staff who is courteous and well manner; however, not necessarily competent in what he delegates. All the fillings he did where all too high. I've never had problems of this nature with previous dentists who did other fillings in other locations. When I came back in to have the bite adjusted, I was handed off to the dental assistant who perforated an existing crown! The assistant didn't say anything if she even knew what had happened; I got home and found out by myself while looking in the mirror because there is a black spot on it which is metal according to the new dentist I went to see. Dr B. didn't even bother to come and check on her or me. This is unacceptable. I am never going back to this practice; I don't trust dr B. to do a good job at fixing things up.

About Hygienist: Hygienists are competent; overall staff is courteous and well mannered.

I had been a patient at Dr. Rothchild's office for 8 years with no problems. A few years ago Dr. Boehm started practicing at the same office. Over a period of a year and a half he replaced about 6 or 7 old fillings, telling me they were detiorarating and the mercury is bad for me. I've never hesistated to follow a doctor's recommendations, so I went forward with it. This began a nightmare for me that I'm still going through. Teeth that had never bothered me before suddenly started hurting. One in particular, in which the filling was replaced by a procelain overlay, constantly ached after the procedure and I had to get a root canal. I may have to get more root canals. I believe that Dr. Boehm drilled too close to the nerve on some of my teeth. The dentist I've seen since has commented on how deep some of the fillings are. If nothing else he should have warned me of the risks. I have no history unusual pain/problems before this. I will say that Dr. Boehm was always willing to see me, free of charge, to examine me and make bite adjustments to see if it helps. But I feel I have to give a negative rating, because if I can help someone avoid the pain and expenses I've been going through, then maybe it is worth something.

The best in the area! Totally painless and friendly. I needed my amalgams removed and he did a great job. Very good chairside manner too.
