Not knowledgeable at all and dishonest about giving all options of treatment.. His work is totally a guess. He gave me a regular splint that any dentist offers( exactly the same treatment) for $600. Dr Sergie charged over $2000 for the treatment . He convinced me that my joints moved and will never go back ; (no x-rays) were taken to confirm it. During the splint treatment my symptoms got much worse, and he ignored all of them. At the end of the treatment he ground my teeth , guessed where my bite should be and ruined my bite completely. He never stabilized my jaw before grinding my teeth (equilibration).
Never let your dentist grind your teeth, because it will make your life a nightmare.
There are only a few neuromascular dentists in Dallas who had a special training to recognize malocclusion and TMJ, relax you muscles (not with muscle relaxers, that don't work) and find the proper bite where muscles, joints and bones work in harmony. They use TENS units, K-7 and T-scan( there is no guessing). Dr Sergie is not an occlusion specialist as he claims. He ruined my teeth

Dr. Sergie's work on my smile was absolutely phenomenal. I was quite nervous at first that my smile might look like the many other people I have met who had veneer work done: obvious. Thankfully this was not the case, and I was able to have confidence in that, because Dr. Sergie's process involved two sets of temporaries that allowed me to not only adjust how they look, but I realize most importantly, to perfect how they FEEL. They feel like a million dollars! I drove from Houston to Dallas for every appointment. Highly recommended. Must go, even if for an inquiry.
