Dr Gowan and his staff are great. He's always willing to discuss treatments and never recommends unnecessary procedures. He also referred me to two other excellent dentists for extraction and root canals.

Unfortunately Dr. Gowan tries to look out for his own interests by suggesting extra treatments that patients do not neccessarily need. He has done this couple times.
We are regular patients mainly because the hygienists and the office staff are exceptional. If I did need some dental care outside of the regular cleaning, I would probably get a second opionion

Dr. Gowan is a caring and thourough pro. He is extremely conservative and only conducts procedures that are required.

Dr. Gowan is an incredibly good dentist. I had two front teeth that were what they call "peg" teeth - they didn't fully grow in. They were the ones right next to my two front teeth, so you can definitely see them when I smile. Dr. Gowan sent me to the best place possible to get an EXACT PERFECT MATCH for these crowns so that you cannot tell AT ALL they aren't real.
And it was completely painless. I have known Dr. Gowan for years and can't recommend him highly enough. He left another practice where I was a patient, but I have tracked him down and am glad to see he's still in the Houston area. He may not be the cheapest - ok, he's definitely not - but it's worth it to know he's excellent at dentistry and he's very personable to boot.

Painless treatment, great dentist. I would glady come back. My only complaint is that I pay out-of-network, but it's worth it.
