Dr. Goodman is a wonderful dentist and makes you feel at ease. He has gentle touch, which is why I have been with him for so long. However, the customer service is terrible. The receptionist is extremely rude and inappropriate. It has gotten so bad that I am switching dentists. It is enough stress getting dental work done, but then to have added stress from the receptionist is unacceptable. She has yelled at me and been completely unprofessional in front of other clients. It is really too bad that she is the reason I am switching dentists as I adore Dr. Goodman....

I've been going here for years. The service has definitely gotten better since they have new staff at the front desk. Dr. Goodman is the best! He is so gentle and makes you feel at ease despite what procedure you are undergoing. Thank you Dr. Goodman for making my experience so painless. Because of you, I now come regularly for cleanings.

I had a horrible experience with this dentist. I had to wait four months to see him for a check-up. When he could finally fit me in, he didn't bother to take x-rays. In fact he asked me if I thought he should take x-rays! He instead just poked around my mouth and determined I had two cavities. After he decided that my cavities were pretty big, he gave me an appointment 3 months later to get them filled! Finally, appointment came and the rude receptionist said he could not see me and proceeded to schedule me a month later! She didn't bother to call me and cancel, she waited until I was at his office to tell me! When he filled my cavities, he did it in such a rush. My mouth was very numb and when I got home and the numbness wore off, I realized I couldn't close my mouth all the way because he didn't bother to drill down the fillings. When I went in the next week, his response was, "oh no, did we not do a good job?". Since then I did not go back to him. One of my cavities fell out 6 months later and I found a much better dentist to fix his sloppy mistakes. Do not go to this dentist. His office and staff is very disorganized. They don't even call to remind you of the appointment you made 3 months ago.

The customer service at this office used to be so terrible that I planned to switch dentists; however, I'm glad I gave them one more try. My last appointment in 12/06 was so much better than past visits that I made a remark to the hygienist. Apparently some staffing changes have helped matters immensely. I've only had cleaning and minor procedures (fillings) done, but have had no unreasonable pain or discomfort from them. My wait times have generally been short, and the office appearance, while not lavish, is just fine for my needs. I looked into the cost of composite (white) fillings, and while I wasn't impressed, it may be because of my insurance and not the fault of the dentist. All in all, I will stick with Dr. Goodman -- partly because the staff seems so much better, but mainly because his office is in a convenient location for me.

Dr. Goodman is pleasant enough when you see him, the problem is getting in to see him. I must to call at least 3 months in advance to get a 10 minute cleaning. I've had 2 appts. rescheduled because he was sick. The Dr. did not work the appts in for another day. Instead, my appts were pushed back 3 months. My last appt was rescheduled so he could go home and take care of his dog (but was rescheduled for 10 days later). Despite my being a patient for several years and accepting multiple rescheduled appts without complaint, they were unwilling to make an exception when I needed to make an appt. I called in March to make a cleaning appt. I was told that the soonest I could come was July 24th. I explained that I would be getting laid off, and needed to come in by June 30th before my benefits expired. I asked if they could fit me in somehow. The receptionist just said "we don't fit in cleanings". So I called the next week to see if they could call me if they had a cancellation. I was told I would be added to a waiting list. After waiting a month, I called the office. I was told that the Dr. had to go out of town, and they had to reschedule a large # of appts. So there's a larger waiting list, and I won't be getting in.
