I visited Dr Ariaee for an infected tooth which was already root canaled and needed to be extracted. The pain during extraction was horrible but that's not what I am not complaining about. Before the extraction I pointed out that there's a cavity behind my #2 tooth, the first one after wisdom on top, which he had missed during his examination. That by itself is terrible. He agreed and I was to come for another session. Here's the worst part: He grinded the composite filling which was already on top of the tooth, with the most coarse rotary head with least precision, filled it with amalgam and in the meantime advised me that it will need a crown. The horrible problem is that HE HAD NOT FILLED THE CAVITY which was behind the tooth!

I had all four wisdom teeth removed. There was no pain and Dr Ariaee and his staff made the whole process as pleasant and stress free as possible. They do an excellent job of explaining everything and are very pleasant.

About Hygienist: Azita is one of my favorite people. I hadn't taken care of my teeth and gums over the years so when I first came in, my gums were in a bad state. She sorted me out with a deep cleaning, regular checkups and getting me to take more care of myself.

Dr. Dean Ariaee is the greatest dentist with very nice staff. Thanks to Dr. Dean Ariaee for being so caring . I tell all my friends about his sincere care.

About Hygienist: I have been going to his hygienist Azita for a long time she is absolutely fantastic, skilled and gentle and it is always pleasure doing my teeth cleaning with her because I don't feel any pain or discomfort. I really appreciate her making the extra effort using her camera educating and showing me my mouth condition. I remember the first time I saw her she recommended 3 month cleanings for me for a while until I reached my goal of healthy gums. Now I'm back to every 6 month cleanings. I know I have receive best treatment possible when I go to her. I highly recommend Azita if you are looking for a gentle and skilled hygienist.

I had a bad toothache and a swollen face and paged Dr. Dean Ariaee on a Saturday. He responded back to me after only 3-4 minutes. He was helpful and concerned. He told me I needed medicine to take down the swelling and pain. He called in the medicine. It was ready after 30 minutes at the pharmacy. He saw me on that Monday and had to pull a tooth. He was very compassionate and gentle. His shots were the best ones I've ever had. I did not even notice that he pulled my tooth until I saw it on the tray in front of me. I have good insurance coverage. They did all the billing and I had to pay some too. I highly recommend him.

This dentist office is the worst. I moved to Irvine and chose this office because of convenience and it accepted my insurance. What a mistake. The dentist immediately told me that I had a number of cavities that needed to be filled. I let the dentist fill three of them. The bill was very high so I can see why they were so anxious to do the work. A few days later I was still in pain so I called them. They had me come in and this time I was seen by the owner of the practice (Dean Ariaee). He re-drilled the previous work which he said had to be redone because the prior dentist did something wrong. Long story short, the root on one of the teeth that they filled and then re-filled died and required a very expensive and painful root cannel!

In general, this office is probably just below average -- I've seen better and I've seen worse -- depending on your luck (which dentist or procedure is involved.) Dr. Ariaee himself is curteous and professional. However, he refused to do anything to relieve pain from procedure, a pain which lasted for months! Also, 2 or 3 tooth fillings were not done properly, and root canals had to be done on those teeth just months later. I am not sure exactly which dentist did which filling, but Dr. Airee was responsible for at least one faulty filling. The asistants are friendly, but the wait is usually too long, despite a confirmed appointment. The costs are moderate, but they tried to tack on additional charges and optional procedures on several occassions. Some charges they claimed were not covered by insurance appeared to be integral to the procedure and should have been covered. So, double-check everything before beginning the procedure. Unfortunately, these complaints are too common for dental offices, and there are worse dentists out there.

Dr. Airaee and his entire staff have treated me and my family with gentleness, understanding and total respect. I went to 4 other professionals in the space of about (4) weeks and after finding Dr. Ariaee, stopped looking. Professional, considerate, knowledgeable and proficient, with a gentle, caring persona. One of the first things he said to me was "We're going to make you a lot more comfortable". And he did.
