Very expensive hourly rate for quick 15-30min consulations. Billing is rounded up, so a 10min visit will be billed at full hourly rate. Even with high billing rate, they do not validate parking, so expect to shell out another $10+. If they overlap in appointment, you not only have to wait, but your parking fee starts to climb rapidly. Being a private practice, billing is a priority and it shows.

Dr. Pirnazar worked on my childs teeth. He did some procedures , that what from what I have now learned, only he and one other dentist in the country seem to preform. The work ultimatly failed and my child's teeth had to be pulled. Dr. Pirnazar is also very, very expensive and without insurance - cash is due at time of visit.

About Hygienist: Dr. Pirnazar has a nice staff.

I found a small cavity on my 2-year-old daughter's tooth and took her to his office. He pointed out she had problems with four teeth. I felt he is kind of accusing me for making her teeth decay. Then he suggested that she should go under sedation to receive a treatment. And the estimated cost was $1800 (which was not covered by our dental plan). I got totally upset. Are her teeth that bad? I immediately scheduled the appointment. Her "surgery" was scheduled 10 days after our first visit. But I wanted second opinion. So I went to another dentist, Dr. David Youssefi in Santa Monica. He told me that only one should be fixed ( he told me that another has a small problem but we could wait and fix it when she becomes 5 or 6). He then said, "Shall we fix it today? " And he fixed her bad cavity immediately. He only used local anesthesia. She cried a lot, but I think it is by far the better for my little girl than a burdensome general anesthesia. She had white stuff. And the overall cost was $160, including exam and treatment. I know nothing about treatment technique of Dr. Pirnazar. He may or may not have excellent technique. But I am just describing what happened to me and my little daughter.
