This dentist is a scammer. He claims every patient has gum disease, deep periodontal pockets and needs ultrasonic scaling ("deep clean"). He also tries to push a nightguard on every patient, claiming you grind your teeth. I will NEVER go back to Dr. Rostami. A very sketchy dentist, BEWARE. Just check the yelp reviews. Everyone had the same experience I did. He's even had his license suspended before for unethical behavior.

About Front Desk: Creepy receptionist/practice manager must get a commission on each of the unnecessary products/procedures she sells. Way too involved in the process and way too aggressive with their treatment recommendations.

Horrible experience. Staff was rude. The technician that took my x-rays was very rough. They insisted in taking THIRTY color pictures of the inside of my mouth. The doctor refused to answer me and kicked me out of the office!!!! HORRIBLE DENTIST!!!

In my opinion, Dr. Haroun Rostami, DDS and the Brentwood Dental Group are crooks. Rostami was my primary dentist within my dental insurance group, and not only were many of his fees more that double anyone else I called, he told me that services that I required were not covered by my insurance, when in fact they were. Leading me to spend over $1,600 on services that would have otherwise been covered by my insurance. At my first visit to his office, he informed me that I had severe Periodontal Disease. He gave me hundreds of dollars worth of dental treatments that were not covered by my insurance, and that he admitted two weeks later, had had no effect. Then he told me that I had to see a Periodontist but that my insurance didn't cover Periodontal. He therefore would not refer me to a periodontist within my insurance group, and instead referred me to Dr. Mahnaz Rashti's Beverly Hills office. Dr. Rashti examined me the same day and told me that I needed well over $18,000 worth of gum work done immediately, or I might end up losing most of my teeth. This dentist has a sordid history and had his license suspended for several transgressions, but the suspension was stayed pending completion of probation. What a crook.

I was sick and tired of constantly going to different dentists, each telling me something different. I decided to try Dr. Rostami's office from a friend's recommendations and at first I was very skeptical. I went in with my guard up but after meeting Dr. Rostami, I could tell this would be the start of a great relationship. I think it's important for you to like your dentist, both on a personal level and also business practice. Dr. Rostami was able to get all of my implants correctly placed without much of a fuss. Of course, I had to come in for what seemed like a crazy amount of sessions but that was required - not really anyone's fault. Rostami's office is nice and his staff do their job well. I did not have to wait long during my appointments and I always left feeling like I had recieved the best quality possible. My hats off to his practice and thank you to my friend. If it wasnt for her I would still be searching for a decent Prosthedontst.

Although the hygienists and receptionists were nice, there was something about Dr. Rostami that just felt wrong. He recommended over 6,000 in treatment during my first appointment with him, and then, didn't even fix the tooth that I originally came in for. My teeth look okay now, but my checkbook is still trying to recover.

Dr. Rostami and his staff need to learn that when people come in for a cleaning they do not want to be greeted with a pushy sales pitch. I went in for a routine cleaning and before his staff even checked my new insurance coverage I had anesthesia jammed in my mouth and the process had started. Turns out my isurance did not cover the type of cleaning Dr. Rostami decided to perform at his own will. Then, when I was leaving his assistant tried to sell me a $2000 mouth guard and a $400 toothbrush. I felt like I was buying a used car not getting my teeth cleaned. When it was all said and done I was being charged for something I never even wanted. This was a miserble experience and I would not recommend him for anyone. All I wanted was a pleasant experience and a routine cleaning.

This dentist lacks ethics. I booked a checkup and cleaning but only received a checkup. After a quick check that involved a ridiculously large number of X-rays, 8 in total, I was given a long hard sell on why I needed to spend $630 for a cleaning. The actual cleaning cost was only $115 but the extra antibiotics brought the balance up to $630. I've had many cleanings and never had antibiotics, but the dentist refused to clean my teeth without them for 'liability' reasons. The real reason is clearly extra profit. In my wasted hour there I saw no other patients. The profit strategy of this dentist is to see a few patients and charge them as much as possible. It is a shame that the otherwise friendly staff and apparently good facilities receive so little use as a result. At the end of the day I lost an hour of my life, received a fair amount of radiation, and my teeth are just as much in need of a cleaning as when I walked in! And my insurance plan will not allow me to register another dentist until next month. Another irritant is that Dr Rostami spoke on the phone throughout my checkup - very unprofessional. Go elsewhere!

Dr. Rostami and his staff are generally helpful and pleasant, but beware, in my case he gave treatment which was extremely costly and deteremined unneccessary by second opinion dentists as well as my insurance company. The office staff was uncooporative when I called to address this issue. It took time and effort but my insurance carrier determined that the diagnosis was erroneous and they (the insurance co) refunded me the overchared amt. Do not accept with blind faith a dentist's treatment plan, get a second opinion before you elect to have the work done!

Hygienists were extremely nice and always remembered my face. Although the procedures were sometimes painful, Dr. Rostami was very nice and explained everything he was doing and why
