I was referred by another Dentist for one root canal, that I did not know at the time worked for Dr. Chinta. Dr. Chinta said I need three root canals, and she did two. She charged me a lot more than my Insurance would pay, and at the time didn't tell me that my Insurance would not pay for all of the work being done. I had a lot of problems with the work she did, and another Dentist told me that it appears only one root canal was needed. I have not had any problems with the other tooth that she also said needed a root canal. I don't trust her and I hope this review will save some one pain and money.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOK. As with other one star reviewers I believe Dr. Chinta is money hungry and has no scruples. I went in for a root canal. My insurance provider told me the negotiated cost was $1000 of which I would be responsible for 40% or $400. Dr. Chinta did not complete the root canal, accessing only 2 of the 3 roots and charged me an extra $525 for rinsing the cleaned out roots. Rinsing the canals is normally included in the overall cost. Dr. Chinta sent a bill to my insurance company for $1129 and a bill to me for $1654 of which I paid $925 the day of the root canal. Now she refuses to return the $525 that she fraudulently received from me. When she performed the root canal Dr. Chinta, giving a very poor performance, acted as though she could not penetrate the full extent of the second root and gave up. She then suggested performing an apicoectomy that same day for an additional $1000. I refused and was told she was done with the root canal. I later was told by several other endodontists that an apicoectomy is not recommended for molars because of the thickness of the bone in that area. I visited several endodontists to see if they would complete Dr. China's unfinished work but they refused and suggested I have the

About Front Desk: They are friendly enough for which I only give 2 stars because they are complicit in Dr. Chinta' fraudulent practices.

This is a very bad dentist. She recommends unnecessary and expensive procedures and will do anything to make a fast buck. Second opinions verify this. She did this to me several times but when she tried it with my child I went to 2 other dentists and my suspicions were confirmed. Go somewhere else - anywhere else.

About Front Desk: Very pleasant unless you ask to wait until talking to insurance company or decline to schedule procedures immediately.

My simple procedure of a root canal and extraction took three hours because she tried to place an ill-fitting implant in my mouth without proper x-rays or bone graft. Thank goodness I said no and went to a professional. Worst. Day. Ever.

I am extremely unhappy. On 10-2-13, I had a procedure done with Dr. Chinta, whcih include Bone Graft procedures on 2 of my teeth. The estimate she gave me was $375/procedure, but when I got my bill, they invoiced me 5 times the original estimate at $1600/procedure. I filed grievances with Delta Dental Insurance, Better Business Bureau, Dental Board of California, and intend to file suit. This place is a rip-off.

Like another reviewer I wanted a simple extraction, but was pressured into 1400.00 worth of bone grafts which were not covered by my insurance. The option for a simple extration was not mentioned and would have been completly covered.

My wife and I went both (at different times) for a tooth extraction. In my case there was also an abscess which is why the doctor recommended the extraction. Some things I didn't liked: She recommended additional to the extraction an angioplasty and a bioplam (not sure is the right spelling) and of course they where not included in the insurance which meant almost $600 extra out of the pocket after a co-pay of $25 for the extraction itself. Talking with another dentist she said they were only necessary if a dental implant was planned (not the case for both). Asked Dr. Chinta if there was a way to do only the extraction she say no. Also, and most important, I didn't liked the fact that she wanted to do everything right away without first eliminating the infection or the abscess, something I believe should be done to prevent some potential problems later. I was given antibiotic only after I requested them. She didn't had any other kind of payment help and the bill should be paid the same day.
