While it is wonderful to actually have the dentist himself perform the cleaning and exam, I found the practice antiquated with outdated equipment. Dr. Freedman was friendly enough, though I do agree with a previous comment about loquaciousness, and at the expense of a focused, quality exam. I felt that the polishing was sloppy and rushed while the plaque removal was rough, bloody, and brusque.

Very thorough and cost is reasonable. His procedures were all successful w/ very little pain or discomfort. He did a great job restoring 2 teeth which I thought would have to be pulled.

Great patient relations and competent, experienced dentist. The atmosphere is combination professional / easy-going. Fun to talk with and good at maintaining positive attitude during cleanings and other procedures. I visit every 6 months. Only minor issue is the very small office. Not suitable for more than a couple of people visiting at the same time. Still, it's comfortable and clean.

I had a root canal and a filling done by Dr. Freedman. There was no pain and Dr. Freedman made sure that I was distracted by offering me his IPod and downloading my favorite album, No Security, by the Rolling Stones. I sat and listened to the Stones while he performed the procedure. What could've taken 4 visits only took two, because of his ability to work efficiently. Dr. Freedman's hygenist Susan is not only one of the nicest people I have ever met, but she actually offered to hold my hand during the drilling. As a team they work miracles together! If I were to recommend a dentist and his hygenist any where in the world I would recommend to go to Joy Street for the procedure. As root canal go it was truly a joy!

He is quite an enjoyable man, but didn't do much to put my mind at ease when getting a filling - for someone who is not used to dentists at all.

Funny, very pleasant guy. Staff is also very friendly! I've recommended him to many of my coworkers and they've all had a pleasant experience with Dr. Freedman.
I don't know how much his rates are compared to other dentists. I had cleanings a few years ago and they wree $70 per visit, but recently, i've picked up a dental plan at work so I haven't paid attention to the rates.
