Dr. Firtel gave me the following treatment: pull out one tooth and deep cleaning. He is very experienced and patient. Almost no pain during the long procedure. Highly recommend. His assistants are also very nice. Cost is reasonable. The only thing is that they do not understand the insurance policy very well. You have to work a little bit on it by yourself.

Prior to visiting Dr. Firtel I had numerous negative experiences with Dentists, so much so that I refused to see a dentist for years. Since I had not seen a dentist in years prior to Dr. Firtel, he had a lot of damage to repair prior to me receiving a cleaning. It has taken him almost 2 years to rectify years of neglect. He is the ONLY dentist that I have seen that has found a medication that will numb me enough so that I do not feel any pain. He has the best bedside manner of any dentist I have EVER been to in my 39 years. With my current insurance being switched to FDH and Dr. Firtel not being listed as an approved Dentist by FDH, I will once again forced to forego treatment because Dr. Firtel is the only dentist that I have found to put me at ease and worked diligently to find a medication that worked to properly to numb me in order to perform the necessary dental work.

I give credit where it belongs.
1. Yes, we had a successful filling - about 1 yr old now. Yes the doctor is pleasant.
2. But... he was about to start taking off the enamel on a perfectly healthy permanent tooth (xrays confirmed) in a still growing child. I had to stop him, thanked for the xray and left the office.
3. They billed insuarance for emergency treatment (!?!?!?)
We will not be back...

Dr. Firtel made me feel at ease, had a wonderful bedside manner, and was extremely professional. He did not hurt me at all and was very conscientious about my comfort. And to top it off, he has a great sense of humor and is good looking too!
