Good quality. He treated me failry and with less pain than other dentists. I would recommend him if you need a root canal. the only problem I had was that I waited but Id rather wait than get over anxious.

Dr Hempel is the most pain-free dentist that I have ever been to. While his office is expensive, there are some things that are worth paying for.

Terrible treatment received for root canal. Doctor argued with my wife about her anxiety over the mouth dam and its fit. Actually threw a tantrum like an immature 5 year old when she asked if he could remove the dam as her anxiety was elevating.
He threw down his instrument and said, "If that dam comes off one more time, we are stopping this procedure!" He stormed out of the room while she gained her composure so he could proceed. Upon return she basically cried her way through the rest of the procedure. He complained that the referring dentist Dr. Nahigian should have told his office this was a problem patient.
I went to visit Dr. Hempel and discuss this with him. He was rude and unmoved over the subject. I let him know we would not be back and the service was terrible. He tried to shift blame onto my wife but decided to temper that back a bit as I was emphatic his care should be in consideration of the fact the patient is there for a root canal. I told him I don't know of one person who has ever bragged about a root canal experience as wonderful, and so he should be prepared for heightened anxiety with his patients.
