Dr.Mark Tsuei is an Excellent doctor I have been seeing Dr. Tsuei for a couple of years now and he has always been helpful with my dental needs. Dr Tsuei has recently proceeded to place implants in my mouth. The final results were fantastic! He has always listened to my concerns and is willing to help out in any way. He is very easy going but very professional. I would recommend Dr. Mark Tsuei to any one that has dental needs for he is a blessing.

Painful! Not enough anesthetic during procedue. Had a complication with a wisdom tooth removal. Front desk lady is not friendly. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

I have the same comment as Patient Review 3 and Patient review: Do not go to his office any more. He is terrible. I had made an appointment for teeth regular clean before I went to his office. When I got to his office, He asked me to pay $160 to do deep clean before he did any examination. I told him I just wanted to do regular clean. But he siad I had to do deep clean. I explained to him it's my right to choose deep clean or regular clean. Obviously, he did not want to do regular clean for me (because he could not make a lot money for a regular clean). Then I told him I just cancel the appointment. He told me if I cancel the appointment I have to pay $90 (for my self and my daughter). I urged with him. Then he said just pay the money and get out of here. Have you meet somebody worse than this guy in the US? Mark Tsuei is not honest. Be fair, his treatment is ok. On the other hand, I need to say thanks to Mark Tsuei because he let me know what is the worst experience. I changed my dentist immedistely. I am also checking where I can file a complain with this guy. Be careful, if you want to go to his office.

I have been going to him for 12+ years and have received excellent treatment and care. He takes his time to explain what needs to be done and what your options are in treatment. He always gets pre-authorization before major procedures. His staff is pleasant and helpful.

The same happened to me as reviewer #1. I have insurance, he does the treatment (with the patient thinking that he is doing it under an insurance policy) then hits you with an outrageous bill in conflict with your insurance. Stay away!

STAY AWAY FORM MARK TSUEI!!! I am in the midst of a root canal/crown treatment that Mark Tsuei claimed necessary when I lay in his chair. After he had pulled out the nerves from my tooth, he explained that the treatment wasn't necessary but preventative and that my insurance company (Cigna HMO) does not pay for preventative procedures. He asked me to pay the full fee of $950 for the root canal treatment. Once at home, and with a now aching tooth, I called Cigna and was told that whatever the reason for the procedure (necessity or preventative), my co-payment for a root canal is $305. I was also told that all the fees Mark Tsuei had quoted were too high: according to my plan, a root canal/crown treatment is about $750 and Mark Tsuei was trying to get me to pay close to $1,700! I'll let you draw your own conclusions about his dental work, but my mind is made up: to ensure I do not have any unnecessary, extensive, time-consuming, and painful dental work done, I am never putting my foot in Mark Tsuei's office again!!!

If you have any dental benifit, DO NOT try him. Usually, the insurence providers have the agreement with the company and give you the better contracted rate. However, he asks patient to pay the bill AT HIS RATE. You not only have to pay the copay, but also the difference between contracted rate and his rate, NO MATTER WHAT YOUR BENIFIT SCHEDULE IS. It may be HUGE difference. The WORST thing is, he'll tell you he is IN the network at first. When you're on the chair, and the treatment is halfway done, the quote AT HIS RATE appears. You have no chance to regret. He might even tell you that he's just out of the netwrok, and ask you to pay the full rate right away and wait for the reimbursement at the contracted rate from the insurence company. You have no choice but pay him then. However, you can always find his name in the updated network list anytime. He looks nice, and tells you reasonablely that he is a good dentist, and does not want to involve in the insurence issues. He always asks paitents to pay the full bill themselves at first and get the reimbursement from insurence company later. But never showing you the contrated rate schedule. To be fare, his treatment is ok. I just don't like a Dr. who is not honest.

Dr. Tsuei has been my dentist since has always been thorough and pleasant. He takes the time to explain what needs to be done and takes care of the pre-authorization process in a timely manner. He always returns calls and is willing to discuss my concerns with my treatment. I have never been disappointed with my treatments and the costs are average for the area and procedures done.
