Dr. Hammer is exceedingly skilled and is so great at minimizing any pain. I had to go in for about a three hour visit (I know, I'll floss more, I promise!!) and since I'm a person who literally has a phobia about going to the dentist, I was amazed at how much more relaxed I was leaving my visit with Dr. Hammer, versus any other visit I've ever had. I have left similarly lengthy appointments in the past and came out feeling like someone had hacked my mouth up and maybe slugged me a few times. Dr. Hammer (the name makes me giggle because it's so opposite him) is a gentle and talented dentist with enough skill to get the job done incredibly well without feeling like a prize fight has gone down in your mouth. Pretty amazing. Truth be told I'm originally from Santa Rosa but couldn't find a dentist I like in LA, so I literally flew up for my appointment. All I have to say is - WORTH IT!
About Hygienist: Claudia was my hygienist and she did a great job maneuvering while Dr. H worked. As an added challenge I had a bit of a stuffed nose that day and so if she didn't keep my throat clear of water I couldn't breathe. Needless to say I did not drown and she did a great job making sure I could breathe, allergies or not!

Josh is friendly and professional. He is great with kids, really gets down to their level and shows he cares. Explains all he is doing with the kids, while he is doing it. Also gives parents all the information needed to know what treatment is needed and how that will get done. He worked with me, my kids and both my parents. Very reliable and straightforward. I would (and do) recommend him to my friends!
