I have had fillings, crowns, root canals and extractions with Dr. Fabian.
I first saw him when he was covering for my old dentist who was in the hospital and I had excruciating pain in a wisdom tooth.
He told me that I had bad decay in that tooth, but it was sound and he could save it if I wanted him to do so instead of a less expensive extraction. (the previous dentist had repeatedly told me that what I was noticing with my tongue was just a harmless "crevice"). It turned out that 2 of the 3 roots in that tooth were excessively difficult to complete the root canal on, and he ended up having his staff call later patients to reschedule them so that he could do a thorough non-rush job.
This impressed me enough that I proposed switching to him rather than going back to my old dentist. He was reluctant, not wanting to seem like he was stealing patients, but I was insistent and he gave in.
Subsequently, I was impressed by how careful he was to make composite fillings appear invisible. At one point, I wanted to have my pitted and striated front upper teeth improved, which he did with 6 crowns. They were not as white as I would have liked, but he insisted that not matching the adjacent teeth would have looked bad. It is very rare for there to be any other patient in his waiting room when I arrive, and just as rare for the wait to ever be more than a few minutes.
About Hygienist: He has had different hygienists over the years. While I don't know how to evaluate them technically, they have been polite, friendly and seem to genuinely care about their patient's teeth. He currently has 2: Lynn and Barbara. I have not met Lynn, but I like Barbara a lot. even when she scolds me (in a friendly way) for not flossing enough. About the doc again: I haven't seen any other dentist in the last 26 years, so I can't compare with others in the area, but I wouldn't have stayed if I did not think he was good.
