I've been coming to Dr Downs for over 20 years and have referred numerous colleagues/friends to him. He took time at my first visit to look at every tooth and make a determination as to what could happen in the next 3-5 year with each.....this enabled me to make the right decision on my dental plan. He's got a gentle touch and is very attuned to patient pain (he can tell, even when my eyes are closed, that I might be wincing). Obviously being with him so long I've had a number of complex procedures done and he's aware of my being terrified of the Novocain shots so makes it as painless as possible. He stays current with the latest/great technology and has himself taught other dentists internationally. His staff is always courteous and helpful, whether setting appointments, providing supplies, cleaning teeth, etc.

Terrible service and very poor end results. I was in pain the entire time and was asked reschedule on multiple occasions

Dr. Downs did a great job with my veneers and other dental procedures. I expect my dental work to last the rest of my life.

I had chronic TMD pain and had been to many dentists. I was suffering from bruxism as a result of recent dental work performed by dentists other than Dr. Downs. He thoroughly examined me and diagnosed my problems, and with equilibration and a customized night guard, my pain is practically eliminated. When I have periodic discomfort or pain, I feel confident that Dr. Downs will take care of me. He is a gentle, caring person and has a wonderful staff! I am so thankful that I found him and for all the comfort he has given me.
About Hygienist: Stephanie, the hygienist, was very thorough and is a friendly, personable professional. She recommended effective flossing techniques that I had not previously been informed about in all the treatments I had with other hygienists.

No complaints whatsoever! Great result on an implant that was done by 2 other dentist with 10x improved result. Have to comment on Dr.Down's staff..Top Notch! Thanks!

Did root canals on the two front teeth in upper jaw - worked out very well.

I would like to highly recommend Dr. Downs. I recently made the mistake of switching dentist, one that was closer to my home, and the whole situation was a mess. After two painful crowns and a root canal, I went back to Dr. Downs for help in repairing the damage that was done. He took care of my issues in a caring and trusting way, I drive an hour in traffic for my dental care, I would drive two hours if I had to- he is simply that good!

The doctor did dental work on my son Jim Post, McPherson, Ks. and I just want to thank him and tell him and everyone what a wonderful, terrific job he has done on my son. He has completely changed his smile and his self confidence. Thank you!!
