I am 70 years old and a patient of Dr. Alan Helig for 12 years. I am a USAF retired person and must have been to more than 30 dentist in my live. Dr. Helig is the best of all. I just had a filling to correct a filling that an Air Force dentist did. Dr. Helig was outstanding. Zero pain; no discomfort. He has the gentle touch. I have complete faith in him. Also, his staff are professional, efficient, and friendly. I have never been to an office where the whole staff is caring. I can not say enough good about Dr. Helig. If I moved a 100 miles away I would still make the trip back to him.

About Front Desk: I must acknowledge the very professional and efficient staff. I get e-mail and telephone reminders. They work with me to schedule appointments around my schedule. It is a pleasure working with them. They make me feel like a VIP.

About Hygienist: I want to personally recommend Ms. Mimi Su who is the Dental Hygienist at Dr. Helig's Office. She is the best ever and provides careful, gentle, and thorough preventative care. I will not go to anyone else.

My experience with Dr. Helig was very pleasant and comfortable. At once, he was reassuring and made me feel relaxed while in the dentist chair. Most importantly, he seemed very knowledgeable and took his time to explain the procedure in a detailed, easy to understand manner. Finally, Dr. Helig is a first class dentist, and I recommend him highly.

I first met Alan for an emergency. He is excellent. He takes his time, explains options and the procedures. He is thoughtful about cost. He patched me up until I was able to be seen by a specialist. I now have him as my regular dentist. Oh he loves to joke and to teach about prevention.

About Hygienist: The hygenist is pleasent and smart. So are the office staff. I have referred my adult children to him.

Dr Helig is great, he talked me into flossing and brushing better, I have a bunch of cavities and he told me that I can WATCH them. He put me in a Flouride regimen until my next 6 months visit. I came to him as an emergency and being a college student, he gave me a very good Thanksgiving gift, a discount on the work he did! I told my biyfriend that I another man in my life now, my new dentist

Dr. Helig is a great dentist. He is very personable and always puts his patients first. His staff is also personable and professional. I recommend Dr. Helig to any who asks my advice for a dentist because he made me feel very at ease - I was afraid of going to the dentist and Dr. Helig eased my fears.

My family and I just moved to DC area and we were ref to DrH by a friend. He ended up being the best. My daughters have lots of cavities and DrH decided to only fill the ones that are the worst and "watch" the rest. He strongly belives that cavities- if they are not too advanced- can be hardned. He gave the girls a long talk about their mouth and even gave them brush/floss class at no charge! he gave up his time to teach my teenagers a little about keeping their mouth clean and healthy! who deos that for free now days?- I'm in love with my new dentist! Ihope DrH takes care of his bad back and his gallbladder so taht we have him for a LONG time! I will refer him to many more of my friends! Keep up the good work DrH! I love it when Bessie emails me, CCs my husband and daughters about appointments- it works out great!

About Hygienist: The hygienist at DrH is great! My daughter was behing and she was able to accomodate her! her front desk staffis also great, they were ablke to reach the next patient ASAP and got my daughter in.

very friendly and efficient service. Dr Maus gives me her personal attention. All staff go out of their way to be helpful and put one at ease. That country music is playing all day! He's very nice, and his girls (Neena & Bess) are the nicest! Painless! Painless needles!
