Dr. Swartz performed an excruciatingly painful root canal on one of my molars. He only completed half the job - he left a portion of root and nerve in the tooth. A simple X ray would have shown that, but he either did not take any or did not show me. He did happily take over $1,200 of my money for a root canal that two subsequent doctors said was obviously improperly done. I was in pain for months and had to undergo another RCT of that tooth by another endodontist (who did it easily, quickly, and properly). Dr. Swartz never responded to my letter or call asking for just a partial refund. Well over $5,000 to deal with his mistakes, which he could have fixed had he simply been operating under a basic standard of professional care. I would NEVER go back to Dr. Swartz and would NEVER recommend him for anything other than more problems.

Dr. Martin Swartz unsuccessfully performed a root canal on tooth #14. I broke my tooth biting on a cinnamon roll!! It was an accident but it could have been prevented if Dr. Swartz had placed a protective tooth cap. Through several calls to dental offices and readings from the library, I have now realized that the procedure for a root canal varies across endodontist specialists. I was aware that I had to wait 2 weeks before restoring and placing a crown. However, there is a risk in breaking the tooth during those two weeks and some professionals opt for placing a protective cap during those 2 weeks to avoid any potential injuries. Make sure your endodontist places a PROTECTIVE CAP on your tooth while you wait for your crown. I do NOT recommend Dr. Martin Swartz.

Dr. Swartz performs pain free root canals. I was pretty scared since I had not been to the dentist in a few years and when I was told I needed a root canal I panicked. Well, from the greeting at the window by Carol to the no pain shots from Dr Swartz I was amazed at how relaxed I felt. Dr Swartz is quick and very professinal throught the procedure. I was so happy with his work that I recommended him to my husband when he was not happy with his dentist. If you need a root canal...he is the best, hands down!
