I would recommend Dr. Bartus. He is a fair price. At least you are not over paying. He uses old fashioned practices. But he is not old. He is not aggressive, like other dentist i have met. I like that! The receptionists seem to be very friendly and knowledgeable. They treat you like family.

My husband and I were new patients. We went to Bartus because our old dentist went out of network for our insurance. We both had cleanings and x-rays, and I had two cavities filled. The doctor was nice and the staff was generally friendly. The dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth and my husbands teeth pushed so hard with the polishing tool that it would stop spinning. I think this damaged my enamel or something because, in the 6 months since my cleaning, my teeth have been more sensitive than they've ever been - even using tooth paste for sensitive teeth. I've been getting dental cleanings on a regular basis my whole life and I've never had such a issue with sensitivity after a cleaning. The sensitivity is present in almost all of my teeth, but it's much worse where one of my new fillings is. The doctor said it would be sensitive for a few weeks, but 6 months later I still can hardly chew on that side and everyone is telling me that's not normal. We're currently looking for a new dentist.

About Hygienist: The hygienist we had was too rough, and she still didn't manage to get the coffee stains out of my teeth (my old hygienist would always get my teeth looking whiter). But maybe their other hygienist would have been better than the one we ended up with (the other seemed friendlier at least). I considered going to the other one but it would be a little awkward if Mrs. Rough-cleaning saw us visiting the other hygienist.

Honest, sincere and trained at University of Florida. My treatment (crowns, implant crowns and cleanings) went according to plan. Treatment will be done the "proper" way, so forget about going to the office once to have everthing completed in one day. He takes his time to make sure it is done right the first time, but staff is a pleasure and the hygienist, Ellen, is great! (Best cleaning ever!)
