This is the worst dentist ever, stay away from his clinic and save your money. When I went to the dental clinic for treatment, rather than treat one tooth, they built me a work plan for me, when I was disappointed in the service they sought payment for another meeting that never was ... it sounds like fraud and attempted extortion ...,when I called and asked for proof of the debt, they told me that I have to pay and they do not have to prove my nothing ... well kind of cheats ... after shopping around I found out that the clinic named AMSELEM SHALOM DDS is almost 50% more than the market price ... thankfully I received another clinic to my satisfaction and I paid half the price of what the Doctor asked. I recommend to stay away from AMSELEM SHALOM DDS clinic, and save your money.

I visited Dr. Shalom Amselem Office in Aventura, October 15/2013 . I was greeted very nice by secretary Sunny. I presented my Medicare Subsidery Card - Preferred Partners. Doctor and Staff new that i am retired patient. Doctor Shalom was very fast to do full mouth of EX/RAYS which i did not need, and did not ask for. I was told that Medicare insurance pays $ 200.00 for them, thats why he began with them. Than he was only taulken about the plan how to make as many as possible Porcelain Crowns and Bridges, where Dr. Shalom can make big profits. I asked Dr. Shalom to check my sharp teeth that were cutting my cheek and tonque, He really did not wanted to do it. when i insisted, he toucht 2 times my teeth and charged me $ 90.00 on my Debit Card. Doctor did not tell me that there is a charge just for touching my teeth, if i would have known, i would never asked him to do this. I felt like i was ripped off by professional -------K. I will never go back to see this doctor, who is stingy businessmen . He told me that he will give me back $ 90.00 when i will do crowns and bridges, which i had estimate before for $ 12,000.00 I WILL NEVER RECOMEND TO NOBODY THIS DOCTOR, HE CAN KEEP MY $ 90.00 , MAYBE HE WILL BE LITTLE RICHER

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!!! OVERCHARGES AND RUDE. Initial visits were fine, but then we started feeling like dentist was constantly trying to sell us unnecessary treatments. Our insurance makes it difficult to switch dentists, so we stayed, but after our last visit, we will never again see this dentist. Long story short, we scheduled appointments for general cleanings and confirmed that we would have $0 out-of-pocket costs, but after my husband's cleaning they tried to charge him $55. When I spoke with Dr. Amselem about the problem, he was condescending and rude, repeatedly explaining that I should be better informed about my benefits and dental health. He agreed to waive charges, but then had the gall to tell me that it is not his responsibility to know my dental health -- if not my dentist, then who?!?! He also told me that when I made the appointment, I should've checked the costs. As I am sure you can guess, there was no apology when he found out that I had checked and the information his staff had given me was incorrect. I pointed out that I felt I was being treated rudely and he yelled at me that I was ridiculous, spat out "happy new year," and stormed away. Clearly, he needs a lesson in respecting clients.

for the previous post about wisdom teeth, a regular dentist cannot do that procedure, that is what an oral surgeon is for, get a brain and know the facts before you write a review!!!

very poor results with two crowns .... one fell out twice, but only after damaging another expensive crown...now I need 3 replacement crowns.. ...and very unprofessional manner resulting in raising his voice and hurrying one out of the office.

He just wants to get money form you he really does not care about your health. My wisdom teeth were damaged and had a very deep cavity, even though i told him to pull them out he refused and filled the cavity. On the same day my tooth got inflammated and I had to go to an oral surgeon to pull it out. The oral surgeon was surprised that he did not pull out the teeth because it was so obvious that it was damaged. Horrible doctor and only wants your money and nothing more.
