I had x rays, and an F & D. Tomorrow i go for a scaling of right side. I have recommended him to 2 friends already. He was very accommodating, and had a good chair side manner. He is professional, and not stuffy. The staff was great, helpful, organized office, not chaotic. Dr. Mathis, himself came out to the waiting room and introduced himself, and let me know it would be a few minutes, which it was. I found him knowledgeable, and honest. he and his staff acknowledged and helped my nervousness, and lack of tolerance of pain. Cost was reasonable with my insurance. He explained everything he was going to do, and answered my questions.
About Hygienist: The hygienists were great also. Helpful, explaining everything they were doing. Professional , and friendly.

I enjoy going to Dr. Mathis' office. His staff is always friendly and very helpful in my treatment needs. He has given me my confidence back in dentistry and my anxiety is alot better since going to him.
About Hygienist: Very friendly and informative! Enjoy my cleanings!

Very Unhappy with service received from Dr. Mathis. Will not be returning. Went for a cleaning but only received polishing & flossing (didn't need to waste my gas and time for that!). They billed insurance for a full cleaning, which meant that I lost an opportunity to get a real cleaning from another dentist. When I phoned Dr. Mathis, he said his notes suggested, and he remembered, telling me that it was a 2-part cleaning and that i had to return to his office the following week for him to complete the cleaning. (how many of you have been told that your cleaning is a two-parter??). In fact, he never said any such thing. When i expressed surprise that I would not get a cleaning, he simply looked at my mouth and said your teeth look fine. End of appt. After going to him for so many years, I am disheartened, not only for the "cleaning", but most importantly how he changed his story.

I have had a lot of major work done in my lifetime, and by far Dr. Mathis is the best. Words can't describe how awesome he is at his job. The only thing I am not crazy about is the layout of his office, but that is so minor in comparison to the end result and the awesome smile you live with. He has done everything from deal with anxiety that I have had during treatments to caring enough about his patients to actually conversate and get to know them. I have gone to his office for several years now and I must admit that I have probable been to over 25 dentists (at least) in my lifetime. All of the others have done less then average work on my mouth. I have anything ranging from root canals, cavities filled, up to bridges and prothestics in my mouth. Dr. Mathis is the best!!!
