I had a chipped front tooth. She was very thorough and explained what she was doing and why. I have thin worn fron theethe due to grinding and acid damage. She not only fixed the chipped tooth she reinforced both teeth to prevent more wear and possible chipping again. She chose a less damaging way to fix the problem, which was less costly. She Is my new dentist now !

Quality Poor to fair I have went to Dr. Gekht and I was told that I had several problems. The main problem was a big cavity that I was told she may fix with a filling and she will not have to do a root canal. The Doctor was NOT sure herself and once she opened up the tooth she said it has to be a root canal (about $980 more then what I expected). Once she did the root canal she has put medication and I had to go a week later for her to remove the medication and place a filling. I went to my appointment and she has told me that the tooth will need a crown and it is better for me to get a temporarily crown instead of the filling because "it looks better and will be the same cost as the filling" She assured me "it doesn't matter which one you will get, it will not cost more" By that time I have paid $100.00 before any of my treatments were done because that is what they required me to do as a deposit. Then I have paid $200 with my debit card after my treatment and $500 with Care Credit. My insurance company has also paid $480 for my root canal and they have charged them $260 for a tooth I was never told they worked on. After I calculated all the money I have given the Doctor, I sure have paid for the treatement of 2 root canals not one. This is where all the problems started. I was told "you will need a crown anyway, instead of refunding the money it can just go as a credit towards your crown" I said, I am not financially stable right now and I am not sure when I will get the crown. A few months after (4 months to be exact) I have went to Europe and had my crown done there since the price for a crown there was the price of a filling and me and my boyfriend wanted to vacation. When I called back to get my OVERPAID money knowing they owe me, they have made up bunch of excuses and have told me that I actually owe them $68.00 more because they have worked on a tooth behind the one with the root canal, but they were "willing to forgive that charge" (I WAS NOT AWARE THAT WORK HAS BEEN DONE THERE) I was told that this temporarily crown that they assured me was going to be the same as a filling (because my tooth had to be closed after the root canal) is now costing ME about $1240. I want to say that I have filed with the BBB and Florida Health Department in Tallahassee because I was robbed! They will say and mislead you just so you pay and then you will never see a penny back. This is the worst experience with a Dentist throughout my entire life. I have tried to reason with these people and they have threatened me that they will sue me. Patients there are just a source of money, not people with feelings, and God forbid you tell them they have overcharged you. Her assistant yelled at me and has been so nasty every time I have called. The doctor has not once picked up the phone to talk to me! Both of them are in the wrong field! The assistant Pauline is the one that has yelled at me. I will never stop trying to get my money back and I will show all proper documentation to prove that this is my experience and this is how I was treated in their office! I also want to say that My tooth has been extremely sensitive and where my gums are at the top of the tooth they have been sore and hurting as something is building up. $1740 later, excluding my crown in EU, my tooth is less then 6 months of treatment, hurts and I have a new doctor look into it this coming up week.
