I HATE going to the dentist. I get panic attacks just thinking about all the pain, the sound of drills, not to mention the NEEDLES! My teeth that I have had crowns applied have required multiple NEW crowns on the very same tooth, VERY Expensive...VERY Painful! I was so fearful that I put off dental care for years. I went online and read the reviews of other dentists in Atlanta and found that I was not the only person to have had Horrible Problems with Dentists in Atlanta. I finally asked around to get a referral to Dr. Chartier from someone I trusted, and I am so glad that I found this particular dentist.
Dr. Chartier is incredible in her level of skill; dental acumen. Dr. Chartier is very gentle, unrushed and skillful with injections and drills. I had 2 front teeth that Dr. Chartier was able to drill away all the black decay and apply a composite that matched my tooth color perfectly. I was blown away with the ease and pain free the whole process was. I usually feel the sting of the needle and worse yet all the drilling. I had NO pain with the injection, the drilling and even better absolutely NO pain after as well; Amazing.
I had 4 more teeth that had decaying old fillings removed and new white composite applied...more of the same; no Pain, starting with the needles to the drilling. Dr. Chartier is the first dentist that I have encountered that has the skillset to make dental procedures Pain and ANGST Free!

I used Dr Slappey for several years and was very please with his service. When Dr Charpie took over, she became crown happy. Then she decided I needed a deep clean for my gums which I went along with. Then she told me my gums were in such bad shape, I needed to see a peridontist to get stiched up and when that was done to come back because I needed three more crowns.
I decided to see another dentist. Got x rays and a full workup. Was told that though my pockets were a little deep, regular flossing was recommended. One of my crowns, installed by the good Dr Charpie, had created its own pocket and was the source of a great deal of pain. they suggested I should go to the doctor who misinstalled it and I declined.
As far as I am concerned, she has this great new ofice that she is paying for by charging for needless work. I do not trust or recommend her as anyone's dentist.

The experience itself was as pleasant as any dental procedure can be. Her offices are beautiful. The staff is wonderful. The cost on her procedures seem very very high.

The office staff was friendly and did their best to ease my stress. The procedures were quite pricey though.

This doctor bought a practice from our family dentist. Decided to give her a try and also referred her to my husband who needed a mouth full of crowns! She did the crowns but he had to go back several times because they never fit correctly. Everytime he came back, she would sigh and act like she was being inconvenience - HELLO- He was being INCONVENIENCED - not to mention she raised the prices and as I said before- he had a mouth FULL of crowns!!!!!
