I am from Sandpoint ,Idaho and was visiting some relatives in Cascade ID over the Thanksgiving holiday. The night before Thanksgiving at around 3:45AM I woke up with excruciating pain in a back tooth that had only been mildly irritating to me for about a week prior to this. I was so uncomfortable that I managed to wake everyone up in the house(except for Grandma who was up cooking our turkey) I waited until about 5:00AM and then called Mr. Markuson to see if there was anything he could do for me. I explained my horrible pain and to my astonishment Mr.Markuson immediately agreed to meet me in his office at 5:45 in the morning on Thanksgiving day. This man was so understanding, caring, friendly and really made me feel at ease for calling him so early in the morning and on Thanksgiving day at that. He got to work on me and spent a considerable amount of time on me as my tooth was abscessed and was very close to not being able to save the tooth. Mr. Markuson ( Kurt as I later knew him) worked very hard that morning clearing out the infection, preforming a very difficult root canal and re-building my molar. He told me that most dentists probably would have given up on my tooth in the condition it was in, but he believes in doing ever

About Hygienist: thing he can to save teeth. Anyway, (now that I am in the Hygienists section, I better wrap this up) Kurt spent a little under 4 hrs working on me and I was numb free in time for Thanksgiving Dinner. The care and pristine service Kurt gave to me on that early morning Thanksgiving Day was truly remarkable and I am so thankful that there still are dentists (or people for that matter) that are as kind, sincere and professional as Kurt is. To top all of this off, not only have I never had a problem with my tooth since, but I never received a bill!! I called to inquire why this was and Kurt told me that he will be ever thankful for the men and women serving our nation in the military, (I mentioned to him that I had just recently been honorably discharged from the Marine Corps after he did my tooth) and he couldn't think of a better time to be Thankful for the freedoms that he enjoys( due to the sacrifices of people like me) than on Thanksgiving Day Morning!!! WOW , now he is an example of the true meaning of THANKFULNESS!!!
