This place IS all about the money. I had an appointment scheduled for a annual cleaning. After alot of X-Rays. I waited for more than an hour to see Dr. Afsher. the goal was to get a cleaning and that didn't happen. She explained that I needed a deep cleaning. A regular routine cleaning wasn't in my best interest. Okay, but a regular cleaning would be a good place to start. Clean, polish remove tarter etc..Start the New Year off to a good start, doing something positive for myself. Nope, that didn't happen. Now for the best part... My insurance company would cover half about $680.00 and I would have to pay out of pocket $636.00. A regular routine cleaning would be 100% cover by my insurance.. OK, I realize that I need additional work but this was a place to start. Very disappointing. Would not recommend this office, Would NOT recommend Dr. Afsher and would not go back. She gives the strong impression, she's all about the money.

About Front Desk: I scheduled the appointment on line, (ZocDoc) easy would do it again. They set two follow-up confirmations. On the morning of my appointment, the Doctors office called and said I was scheduled for 9:00 not 9:30am. I found the front desk receptionist a bit soured, not friendly.

Front desk:

This place is just looking to get as much money from you as they can. I was told I needed 8 fillings and a root canal. I was scared into getting started by being told that if I didn;t do it now, all of my teeth would need root canals. She did 3 fillings and drilled down a tooth for a root canal. After the procedure, I had pain in the fillings where I had no pain before. I took my xrays to a different dentist for a 2nd opions who told me they showed no evidence of needing any work and all of my other teeth were fine. Unfortunately because she already drilled down the tooth I will need to go through with the root canal. So, not only am I now in pain, lost a tooth I did not need to loose, will pay $1000 for a root canal and crown that I did not need, she over charged me $200 for the 3 fillings that did not need to be done either.

I know this doctor: 1 month
