Pros:
Dr. Gordon is extremely thorough in his approach to dentristry. He uses the latest technology (digital x-rays of teeth, digital pictures of teeth) and invests the time to explain what he sees with the technology.
Cons:
Dr. Gordon and his staff want to provide you with the Mercedes Benz of dental care - in my opinion they go beyond preventative measures to over-treatment. For example, Dr. Gordon suggests scaling and planning, which is basically scraping under the gums to remove plaque, as part of routine cleanings; however, scaling and planning is typically recommended only for patients who have deep pockets in their gums. It cost me $250 out of pocket to pay for the scaling and planning even though I have standard dental insurance.
Overall, it is my opinion that Dr. Gordon over treats patients in order to make more money for his practice.

I visited Dr Gordon for a regular exam and tooth cleaning once and the experience was terrible.
Without doing any work other than the checkup and cleaning I was charged over $240 out-of-pocket! Nobody in Dr Gordon's office ever informed me that (for my regular check-up and cleaning) they were performing services that were not covered under my insurence!
Needless to say, I immediately changed dentist! However Dr. Gordon had the last laugh: they are refusing to give me copies of my records, X-Rays etc unless I pay a "copying fee".
