I saw this dentist because he was accepting of my dental plan. I was in his office with 3 other patients that were underage and without a parent. Appeared that the eldest drove all 3 to their appointment. There was no office staff present and Dr Sawyer was there by himself and completed treatment without any other staff present. Dr Sawyer cleaned my teeth in under 3 minutes then drilled a hole in my tooth so large/deep that it broke in half over time leaving a large hole in my mouth. He rushed through both procedures and communicated extremely poorly. I have not been back to a dentist since due to such a terrible experience and out come-it has been 4 years. I am writing this now because I saw that there was an opportunity to speak out and document this experience with hope that no one else has to endure a similar experience with this dentist. Avoid at all possible!

About Hygienist: Only one star and I would not even give this dentist one star if it weren't for the fact that if I didn't not chose one then it may default back to a five star rating that this dentist certainly does not deserve.

this dentist really is uncaring unprofessional and totally out of the loop. I was treated with such disrespect from him and his office staff. I was not helped and he tried to scare me. I would not recommend him for dogcatcher.

this guy is really uncaring and unprofessional, especially when you are scared. His office help wasn't any better, condisending at best.
He would not answer any of my questions with an intellegent answer.
He would say " I don't know" well I say what DO you know, you are the professional???
I have also heard he has done shoddy work on people since this.
I feel he is not out for my best interest. He just wants to get the job done/
He is very non commital which leads me to believe he is out to protect himself.. from what I don't know???
I do NOT reccommend him.

My first experience was awful. The water was to be shut off 8 minutes after dr. Sawyer began my cleaning; ergo, he rushed, cutting my gums multiple times. Blood and shards of my gums were being drained out of my mouth! I couldnt eat solid food for 3 days. After 2 year absence (traumatized) I came back last week, hoping that it was only because of the water situation that he behaved so irresponsibly and negligent; however I was wrong. While it wasn't as gory as before he still kept stabbing my gums with his hook. Instead of looking first, he would just blindly stab. Before my cleaning I see him gingerly working on an elder lady, so maybe it's because I'm young he thinks I can handle it. No matter what my safety is in his hands and when a dentist ignores the tears running down your face, excessive amounts of blood, and verbal expressions of pain, he shouldn't be licensed.

I have been a client of Dr. Sawyer's for 15 years. He is a skilled Dentist with a broad knowledge of dentistry.
He is understanding; takes the time to listen to your needs and understand what you are feeling. His pricing is very fair and his work is excellent. I wen to him when I needed cost efficient and I would stay with even if I didn't need it to be cost efficient.

I go to Dr. Mark Sawyer and have not had any problems. He's a very nice man and the girls that work in the office are very nice too. I'm disabled and in a wheelchair, and he always accomidates me. I know I have to go to the dentist and this is where I will be going as soon as I can make an appointment.
