Dr. Marianne's reputation had preceded her for me. Several friends had recomended her, and at my first visit, it became clear why. She is kind and funny, and most important to me, she communicates to the patient throughout her exams and procedures about what she's doing and why. She warns you about possible pressure at every step, and she moves quickly to eliminate even a little pain. Her receptionist is warm and friendly, and both she and Dr. Marianne are willing to work with you about insurance and payment. They are very low stress. I've only had fillings, xrays, and exams from her, but my partner has had extensive work done, and she wouldn't change dentists for anything. Dr. Marianne is also very careful about referrals - she has a short list of oral surgeons and endodontists whom she trusts her patients to. Last but not least, she has a massage pad on her chair and interesting, sparkly things on the ceiling to keep her patients entertained.

Dr. Schaefer's chair-side manner is gentle, compassionate, and understanding. An estimate of costs is always provided and procedures run smoothly and pianlessly. Her office is at a great location and has evening and saturday hours. She has taken care of my family for over five years.
