I went to Dr. Seidman after subpar dental work by another dentist failed. He performed several "onlays" and fillings. I have been to about 5 dentists in my lifetime and I believe that he is the best I have been to. I'll bet that he is in the top 5% of dentists in Chicago.

Dr. Seidman always greets me with a smile when I sit down in the chair, which helps keep my dental phobia under control. No matter what needs to be done he takes the time to explain to me everything about the procedure, from the potential risks and discomforts to how beautiful my smile would be when everything was finished. I love how Dr. Seidman is an absolute perfectionist with his work, and it gives me peace of mind while sitting painlessly through a long procedure.
I would, and do, recommend him to anyone and everyone. After 24 years of being a patient I hope I am fortunate enough to have another 24 more.
4 stars is not enough. Thank you Dr. Seidman so much for giving me such an amazing smile!
About Hygienist: I no longer dread showing up to the dentist every six months for check-ups, either. His hygienist is gentle and thorough. She meticulously checks every nook and cranny, and always seems to know when I've been forgetting to floss.

While Dr. Seidman was quite expensive (I had no dental insurance), he was the best dentist I've ever seen. He is efficient, and has squeezed me in once during a dental emergency.
My only hang-up is that when I first went to the office, I was seen by his partner, and she was not nearly as experienced. I've had some problems with the work she did. But she's no longer there, and he replace the problematic work she did at cost.
About Hygienist: She is wonderful. Very thorough and gentle. I'm sad I'm moving away from Chicago. It will be very hard to find a new dentist/hygenist I like so much.

I had cosmetic dentistry done with Dr. Seidman... and would say that he is not a perfectionist... which is VERY important in a cosmetic dentist... I feel like I had to point out things that didn't look right.. and then he would aggree and fix them... I also felt obligated to use him as a general dentist.... if you don't they clearly state that they will not be responsible for any difficulties or problems with crowns... cosmetic work... etc... they are more expensive that other dentists... so, you will end up paying out of pocket for yearly cleanings etc...
About Hygienist: The hygienist is very professional...great to talk to ... and does a great job...

The Dr's office is fine, clean, nice building, etc. The staff is nice and courteous. I can't say I liked the Dr's style even though I don't have any specific complaints about his work.
If I asked questions he bristled, I don't believe he wanted his patients to ask anything. I felt like he brushed me off if I wanted information. Also I felt like I was getting a sales pitch, every time I was there he was recommending something else. I want to be conscientious about my dental care, but I felt like he was trying to add more services to pad the bill. I had whitening on my teeth which I liked but was very painful afterwards - I was not at all prepared by the staff for that pain and I may have reconsidered had I known what I was in for in the days following.
So while I don't think he is a "bad" dentist or made mistakes on my care, I would not go back. I did keep going for a while because I did not want to make a judgement based on 1 or 2 visits, and I recognize that he did the work that he was supposed to do.

This was the best experience I have ever had. The facility is beyond state of the art. The office staff were friendly, competent,and helpful. The fees quoted were BELOW most people in the area and the work is so far superior, it's not funny. I had veneers done that really changed my life and look so natural that people are actually jealous of my smile. They think it's my natural teeth they're looking at. Anyone looking for a cosmetic dentist can stop looking. Dr. S is the BEST.

This is the worst experience I have had with a dentist. Dr. Seidman did NONE of his work, no cleaning, no whitening, nothing. The man did not put a finger on me. His techs ran the office.
Dr. Seidman spent the time of my visit picking out patterns for his office renovation and trying to trial new equipment. This was such a rip off. I paid for brite smile whitening, but the equipment he used did not even have the britesmile name on it. The price he quoted me for a bridge was near the amount I would pay a plastic surgeon for breast implants. Basically he is trying to get the most money from one patient to pay for his extravagant office.
This is a very shady person and I do not recommend his services.
