I have been to Dr. Smith about 5 times now for root canals. Dr. Smith is THE BEST!! I wouldnt go to anyone else for this kind of treatment while DR Smih is in practice. He's gentle, tells you what he's doing and asks at each step how Im doing. I highly recommend! Mark McKinney Charlotte NC.

When you first see him he starts drilling on your mouth right away without consulting you first. After he started my root canal I had some complications and the treatment for it was poor.

My visit with Dr. Smith was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and so helpful. I have been to other endodontists in the area and none have treated me as well as Dr. Smith and his staff.

Dr. Smith performed a root canal on one of my molars 8 months ago following 4 days of extreme tooth pain. The pain was relieved immediatley but discomfort persisted and the tooth could not be crowned. When it became apparent the discomfort level was not going to diminish, Dr. Smith performed a second root canal on the aching tooth at no charge. Unfortunately this provided no relief. New xrays by an oral surgeon show that an adjacent molar is abscessed requiring yet another root canal. Was this adjacent tooth infected from the beginning but undiagnosed? There is no way to know at this point. Was the first proceedure performed on the wrong tooth? Since the pain was relieved the answer would seem to be it was the right tooth. Draw your own conclusions from my dental saga. My own conclusion is that the continuing problems I am experiencing are in no way due to Dr. Smith's performance. In fact I plan have him do the next root canal.

I found Dr. Smith through my Aetna plan. I was uneasy with some of the more aggressive dental practices within the plan that seemed to me to be procedure/fee focused. I found him on my own. I felt that his approach was conservative. I never felt that he was looking to do a procedure: His practice appeared do be well established. He explained root canals in such a way as to put my mind at ease about the procedure. Once I was on board we immediately got started. He greatly reduced my pain via treatment. I am very comfortable recommending him to someone with tooth pain that may (or may not) involve a root canal.

I had a root canal done by dr smith and he is amazing!! He was very kind and listened to me every step of the way. I would go back to him in a heart beat and HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to anyone who is a bit nervous about needles and pain, because you don't feel either in his care.

Started my root canal in January, attempted to finish in APRIL. Did not finish it. Very rude and un-professional. I felt like it was an inconvenience for them to make me feel comfortable during an uncomfortable procedure. Very rough and forceful. I informed my dentist not to refer patients there anymore.
