Lucky me, I inherited soft enamel so I am practically best friends with the entire staff (they tell me I should go to dental school because I know all of my teeth numbers, many of their clinical terminology, and can speak their 'dentist lingo'.) I have had numerous fillings, four root canals and one extraction and am going back for two more extractions in three weeks. I had previously experienced terrible service from another dentist that left me with a dental phobia. Dr Dean has 100% changed my opinion of what a trip to the dentist is supposed to be like. In fact, I went to him initially for horrid pain and after he did my root canal, I cried and hugged him because of the relief I felt.
The costs are reasonable (all dental work is $$$). He likes to joke with you (especially if you are under the laughing gas) and has a very calm manner. I have came to him in tears many times and was laughing by the end of my appointment. The facilities are very nice. As a very anxious patient, I appreciate that they offer nitrous oxide - not covered by insurance and is about 30
dollars per unit (15 minutes). Treatments tend to be very successful. I have only lost, maybe 2 fillings of the many I do have.
Dr Dean has made me proud to smile again.
About Hygienist: All of the hygienists are kind and gentle. If an area is bothering me, they will be extra careful to avoid irritating it and causing undue pain. I always feel so clean after my appointments. And sometimes, they will let me have the rest of the little tub of the tooth polish (I just love that stuff!) they used on me. I have only ever had an uncomfortable cleaning experience once and it was later resolved. I couldn't ask for a friendlier staff!
