Have had several procedures done by Dr Gershon and without question, he is the most competent Endodontist, and for that matter dentist I have ever dealt with. He is pleasant, extraordinarily knowledgeable, and thorough. HIs new office in Manhattan is state of the art. My new Dentist (old one retired) is very impressed with Dr Gerson's work. Dr Gerson has moved to..400 E 56th St, Ste 1 New York, NY 10022 , b/t S Sutton Pl & 1st Ave Phone number (212) 888-8847

Dr. Andrew Gershon is very professional and has years of experience that I can tell. Root canal treatment completed in about one hour, and everything was done in only one visit. No pain. Very friendly. The job is clean and quick. He also did my 77 years old mother in two visits. Best of the best.

The minute I walked into his office he looked for my health insurance and nothing else. He called constantly in order to remind me to bring the co-payment check. Meanwhile, on the seat, he seemed to have little to no interest in being a proper human. Before the root canal, he subjected me to these technical talks which he looked more nervous in then me. He was highly neurotic and generally all over the place, emphasizing the fact that if the root canal does not work, he still gets paid. I found that he had little to no emotion to him. This was my first root canal ever and was very scared. The surgery went quite well, however. It was relatively painless, however I have yet to see just how successful it was since I am going to have it filled by a regular doctor, whom I will no doubt ask to confirm its success. The office was quite cleanly and comfortable, however his assistant seemed to be nowhere in site when the phone called and thus he often picked it up, literally stopping the surgery midway while he scheduled appointments: a most irritating thing. As mentioned, the place was quite cleanly, especially considering that it was in flushing.

I was Dr. Gershon's assistant when he was working in the U.S. Coast Guard. He filled all my fillings with composite or gold fillings. The reason I am writing this is that today (Dec 1, 2005) I had to have one of those teeth filled again --- that composite filling had been there for a nearly 35 years!!! Even more amazing to my current dentist, I still have several teeth with Dr. Gershon's composite fillings that do not need to be repaired! I now live in British Columbia and Washington State, so it is not practical to go all the way to New York for a dentist. Back then, Dr. Gershon was just out of dental school - before he studied endodontics - so i assume he has only improved with experience and age! Paul M. Bowman
