Like almost everyone, I HATE GOING TO THE DENTIST! that said, I love Dr. Beal. He's attentive, listens to what I have to say and talks about the treatment. He'll take his time at the chair and do the best work possible. I've been to a lot of dentists, and Dr. Beal is the best!

Dr. Beal has been my doctor for over 10 years. All of my dental work has been performed by him. I must say that after 10 years of my first implant, it is still in perfect condition and never had a problem with any of the procedures he has performed on me. I must say he is a very eccentric man, sometimes he might come across as rude or cold, but I guess that just the way he is. The facilities at Newbury street are small but clean, the staff is very helpful. I would recommend Dr. Beal to anyone. He is not expensive if you don't have insurance. And if you're a student, he tries to help you out as much as he can.

Dr. Chu at this practice is absolutely amazing. Her work is impeccable, she's incredibly gentle, effective, and knows how to put her patients at ease. They are vary helpful when it comes to issues with insurance. They had no problem with me rescheduling my appointment for a major restorative procedure the day of, after they found out that I wouldn't be eligible for it for a few more months.

Best of Boston! Dr. Beal's office is a relaxing and open floor plan facility. Everyone there is resourceful, kind and wants every patient to be comfortable! I will not go anywhere else!

I have never had any trouble with dental appointments before, but this was a terrible experience. I had a "tiny' cavity that they said they would fix, and it turned out to be several following appointments because after the treatment I couldn't chew on that side of my mouth for weeks afterwards. I went back to have it looked at and had to sit through several attempts to fix it. Today, almost 2 years later, I am still in pain and can't chew on my left side. I have also been told that the enamel of that tooth (presumably due to the excessive work they did on it) is almost completely worn out. I am switching to another dentist with hopes that I will never experience anything like that again. The procedure was not done by Dr Beal himslef, but by a female associate of his. Although the location and atmospohere/decoration is nice overall and they play nice music during the visit, this was really my worst dental experience ever!

I was only seen by Dr. Beal on my first visit to the office. On subsequent visits, I've been seen by Dr. Chu. Both of the dentists are very pleasant and competent. The hygienists have all done a good job on my teeth, as well. I've had no procedures there other than cleanings, exams, and x-rays, but I would trust them to do more complex work, were it required. I was once dealt with very rudely (almost bizarrely so) by a member of the staff when I called to apologetically explain that I was running slightly late for my appointment due to an unforeseen personal emergency. This keeps me from giving them a better customer service rating, but it was an isolated occurrence. Other than that, I have only good things to say. The office is conveniently located and quite pleasant, and they seem to run an efficient and high-quality practice.

I grew up with the same dentist until I was 20, when I went to college, chipped a tooth - and finally had to a find a new dentist in the area. I am very picky about my dentists, and after meeting three of them around Boston, I finally stuck with Dr. Chu. I loved her immediately. She is young and enthusiastic and fun. I could sit and chat with her all day. And, she goes to conferences frequently and is always up on the most current techniques and information. She's awesome and I highly reccomend her. Also, all of the receptionists are very friendly and warm - something unusual for a doctors office!
