Just prior to moving out of Boston I decided to have dental work finished before my insurance ran out. I had seven fillings put in and four wisdom teeth extracted by Roy Cohen. I should have fled when I first set foot in his office. There were several things that should have tipped me off. There was never, in all three visits a receptionist. In addition, when he took x-rays of my front teeth, he did not place a plastic cover on the machine or sterilize it before or after. He had a dental assistant who he consistently yelled at, while he was working on my teeth. Also while he was filling my teeth they were not fully numb and when I complained of it he literally threw his tools down sighed in disgust as if he didn't believe me and raised his voice with me. After the fillings were complete I had the feeling of electricity going through them and he refused to redo them or refund my money. In addition, some of the fillings prevented me from flossing in between my teeth. In the end I had to have all the work redone by my new dentist once I moved.

I know this doctor: 90 days

He charged my credit card in a month I wasn't even there, would not return repeated calls about it, so I had to do a chargeback with my credit card company. I have to have the root canal he did redone because of poor dentistry (my endodontist's exact phrase). He has no receptionist, no hygenist, just you alone in a ramshackle office with him. I am appalled I didn't listen to my better judgement and walk out the door instead of having him do the work that now needs to be redone.

My wife went to see Dr. Cohen and the service was mediocre. Six months later I am being billed for services never rendered by him. He billed me four separate occassions last month and we haven't been in his office for six months. I called my insurance company to stop payment to him for services never rendered and they are conducting an investigation for insurance claim fraud. Do not use him as your dentist. He is try to cheat you. I am in the process of reporting him to the State Dental Board.
