Dr. Foo is a very honest and practical dentist, only fixing the real problems, never pretending something wrong to make money. I had her for the past nine years and hate to leave her now when I need to relocate out-of-state. She will do all the suitable procedures herself and refer patients to good specialist when necessary. Both my wife and I have become friends with her.

I lived in Boston for 5 years. At my first job, about half of the 50 person staff recommended Doctor Foo! Even after changing locations all over the metro area, I stuck with Doctor Foo. She's the best! All the reviews can't bring her to life, you have to go for yourself! Now, I live in California, but I still go back to Boston to see family and friends once or twice a year - every time, my ritual is to make sure my family will be around, then make sure I can get an appointment with Doctor Foo, and THEN I buy my plane tickets. She's really worth it, even though she's "out of network" for my dental plan, and not fully covered. I've had my teeth murdered before by others, and just having Helen's professionalism and talent would be enough to make me want to stick with her - but on top of it all, she's the nicest person* I think I've ever met, and she's fluent in "five metal gadgets stuck in your mouth"-ese, so don't worry about her not noticing when you're in pain or in need of a rinse. A visit to Doctor Foo is like giving your teeth a trip to the tooth-spa, and your inner child a much-needed cookie. May her jar never run low!

I was a patient for many years before moving to the Pacific Northwest. If I could, I would fly to Boston to continue seeing Dr. Foo. She is the best dentist I ever had. I know that when I lived in Boston, Boston University would send their Varsity atheltes to her. She would get invited to her patients' weddings. She does precise, neat work and as painlessly as is possible. She is cheerful and accomodating. Dr. Foo made dental appointments something actually worth looking forward to. The best general dentist in Boston/Brookline. There aren't many dentists you can laugh with.

i started going to dr. foo because a close friend recommended her when i needed a local dentist. i had to give her a try when i was told about her humor and antics. that was about 8 years ago. she is a down-to-earth dentist who can make you laugh while she's scraping off all that tartar. she makes going to the dentist not so scary unless you're scared of being scolded you for not flossing enough! my own personal story came a few years ago when i had a cavity. i wasn't exactly thrilled to take care of it. fillings with my family dentist in chicago meant novocain from a ginormous needle in the gum, a world of pain even with novocain, and the stench of burning enamel. with dr. foo, i received no numbing agent. her drill has this nifty device that cools off the drill and tooth while drilling. it was painless! can you imagine getting a cavity filled and not feeling pain? she thinks maybe we're all crazy to review our dentist in a public forum. maybe we are, but it's only because we're all in "the cult of foo." once you go to helen, you will want to recommend everyone you know. she is not only a fantastic dentist and woman, but she makes going to the dentist a fun, enjoyable experience. how many dentists can say that?

I've been going to Dr. Foo for the past 17 years. I found her when I first moved to Boston, and never looked back. Even after moving to Plymouth 4 years ago, I continue to make the trip into Boston to see her every 6 months. My husband and step-daughter make the trip with me, so now dentist visits are akin to a family outing! Dr. Foo is very professional when it comes to her work, yet she does it all with a sparkling sense of humor. I look forward to our dentist visits (so does my step-daughter), and I mention that whenever I recommend her to someone.

I have known Dr. Foo for many years, as a friend and my dentist, and I can't tell you how wonderful a dentist and person she is! She is warm, has a great sense of humor and dentist who really loves her profession. This woman loves teeth! After leaving the Boston area, I still travel into Brookline to visit her every six months for a cleaning. In fact, I would travel many, many miles to visit Dr. Foo. I recommend her to anyone looking for a dentist. She gives the best cleaning around. You do not feel rushed when you visit her. She really cares about her patients.

Dr. Foo is the best dentist I've ever had. I have never been to a dentist so friendly and comfortable. I always look forward to coming back to her office because she is so great. She also took the time to teach me to floss properly. I agree with all the other reviews. Her operation is small, but the service is first class, and her references are excellent. I admire her very much because she really cares about her patients. Best of all, she's got a terrific attitude, and she makes all her patients feel at ease about going to the dentist. Her referrals are always excellent. I had 4 wisdom teeth out, no problem! I booked extra appointments with her because I trust her judgement and review of other dentists' work. She's the best dentist I've ever had, hands down. I will see no one else. She's fantastic, and her dental care is top notch. Go Dr. Foo!

Dr. Foo is funny and kind and a great dentist, but what I like most about her is that she never rushes you through an appointment. She takes a lot of time with each patient--even for just a routine cleaning she always spends at least 45 minutes with you. She takes the time to get to know you personally, and unlike other dentists, she'll actually stop her work to let you respond to her questions! For instance, she's asked me about my job and hobbies and the like. With other dentists, you often feel like you're just a set of teeth! I've heard people say that Dr. Foo is somewhat of a legend in the area. I recommend her highly.

Dr. Foo really goes the extra mile for her patients. I recently broke a night guard and really can't be without it because of my intense grinding. When I got to Dr. Foo's office, she had made a temporary replacement for me to use while mine was being repaired. I was floored. She definitely saved me from a migraine or 2. I have recommended her to anyone I know is looking for a dentist. I will not go to anyone else.
