I have been going to Dr. Carpe for 5 years. I no longer live very close to their office, but still continue to go there because you rarely wait and Dr. Carpe (Erin) is very gentle and extremely friendly. Plus it is always relatively easy to make an appointment.

I had the fastest appointments of my life at Dr. Carpe's office. She never found a cavity, but she spent about 5 mins on my teeth. I felt that she did a superficial job. When I switched dentists (due to a health insurance change), I was all of a sudden diagnosed with 4 cavities within a year (after years of having none). I don't think I can know with completely certainty, but I wonder whether it's attributable to her fast cleanings. Also, I can't comment on how expensive she is; my insurance paid.

I know this doctor: 3 years

The quality of the dental work is below average. I've had her do fillings and a crown, and every procedure required a few return trips to work out the kinks. Ordinarily this isn't a problem, but since they aren't open every day, I often found myself uncomfortable for days after a procedure. Another problem is the terrible office clerk. If you have dental insurance--be warned! She will screw up EVERY claim. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

Dr. Carpe is very friendly and creates a fairly stressfree environment. The location is very convenient.

After years of seeing Dr. Carpe and wondering "are cleanings supposed to take this little time" I finally went to another practice who uncovered lots pf problems with my mouth that had been there for a while and could have been detected and corrected by Dr. Carpe but never were. And yes, a good cleaning really takes time.

I went to see Dr. Erin Carpe for a general cleaning and decided not to go back. The entire process took only about 15 minutes -- the shortest, least thorough cleaning I've ever had, by far -- and she didn't even floss at the end. (I've always been flossed at the conclusion of previous dental cleanings.) She also told me I should come back for a small filling, based on x-rays, but her attitude did not inspire confidence. A second opinion said that I did not need a filling after all.

Dr. Erin Carpe continuously recommends cosmetic treatments that I feel that I don't need (not to mention cannot afford). She also is very quick to make judgments on my teeth. I had trouble with a certain filling she did that had to be replaced multiple times.

I went to Dr. Carpe because of the good ratings on this site. However, my experience with her was horrible. I went in for a routine filling replacement, but she missed the correct spot when she gave me the novicane. I ended up FEELING the drilling when it got deep! She also proceeded fixing a front tooth that needed bonding (only for cosmetic reasons really) WITHOUT my permission. I reluctantly agreed but now regret it. She overcharged me. Its been 5 months since the service, and Im STILL in the middle of going back and forth from between the insurance company and Dr. Carpes office, who is still denying that I was overcharged, even though the insurance company is saying that I was. Dr. Carpe may be nice, but she is NOT a good dentist, and her dental office practices are questionable. In short, I feel extremely cheated and victimized.

Treatment was suspiciously quick. I suppose that might be an asset to regular customers, but not first time customers. They offered no help with insurance. Customer support was terrible. Insurance didn't cover the complete cost of the procedures and while we paid the first bill presented, it already had a late fee. It's not been 6 months and they've not made a good faith effort to address the issue. I will not be going again.

I recommended Carpe's office to my friend (passing a recommendation that I got myself), and then had a very bad experience with Ronald Carpe. My friend, independently, had an appointment with Dr. Erin Carpe and he was not happy either. Dr. Erin Carpe did an extremely quick checkup on the state of teeth, and the cleaning was really short, which seemed very unusual. Dr. Carpe said that there are no cavities. However, when his tooth started to ache a couple of months later, he went to another dentist which found several big cavities in his teeth. Based on this experience, I strongly discourage anyone from going to Carpe's practice. This dentist family is very expensive, and very unprofessional.
