To clarify my review above, I think Dr. Smith is great! He knows his business and keeps up-to-date on his craft. As to the cost- my insurance co says that his costs exceed customary. I do think they are little high. As for customer svc- they are all very attentive. The only problem I am having is with the billing department. I requested that my gen dentist receive an email stating that the tooth was retreated and explain why (the gen dentist shouldn't have attempted this root canal) however I have been unable to get the email sent. When I called they said they printed and faxed it and my gen dentist said they still didn't get it. I asked that it be emailed to me and I didn't get it either. I am frustrated with having to call so many times to get this info. That is only front office issues not with Dr. Smith himself his customer svs is great. Treatment success- this is NOT b/c of Dr. Smith but because of my tooth. He explained thoroughly that there was a chance that what we were doing may not work and I believe that may be the case here. He also explained that it is worth the effort to see b/c extraction should be the last and extreme option. We will see what happens but as of now not a success it is infected.

About Front Desk: See above comments. The Front Desk staff is very courteous but I am frustrated about the inability to get this email issue resolved.

Dr Smith was recommended to me for a root canal. His receptionist was able to get me and appointment within the week. The facilities are new and clean. I had no pain during the procedure and much less pain than Dr Smith thought I might afterwards. The staff was exceptional with insurance help. Dr Smith and his staff's chair side manners were top-notch. I over heard Dr Smith explaining a procedure to a young person in the next room and I thought he did a great job explaining things to the child and his mom. Dr Smith did a great job explaining things to me, but it was nice to hear him talking to someone younger and to know he could be the same way with everybody. Being a mother, I was impressed by the way he talked to the child too. During my procedure, Dr Smith treated his assistant very well. I'm a nurse and I can tell by the little things, how a doctor treats the help. If I was a dental hygienist, I'd want to work for Dr Smith.

About Front Desk: The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The office is well-run. Everybody seemed happy and glad to work there.

About Hygienist: My hygienist was clean, efficient and pleasant. She took a lot of time helping me rinse my mouth out after my root canal. I felt like my teeth and mouth were clean when I left.

I had to get an old root canal redone because I got mine done last year by a general dentist (horrible)! It was such a different experience going to a specialist. They should me the before and after on the x-ray and it looks really good. The dental assistant was friendly and the instruments looked really clean. Everyone was very detailed and organized. I would recommend this dentist to others! I already called around the area and they were priced the best, I saved a couple hundred dollars. The office looks really high-class so I definitely got lucky.

About Front Desk: Okay, I actually didn't know much about my insurance plan and the front desk took care of all the little details. Jess was really nice about everything.

About Hygienist: I had an assistant because it was for a root canal. She made me feel really comfortable. Not to mention, we had a lot in common!
