I was traumatized as a kid and have a hard time being at a dentist office. This Dr. Had no compassion for me, he walked out of the room irritated and venting because I was wasting time and that if I didn't want to start numbing then I should leave and take a Valium. He never took into consideration that I was extremely stressed out and just needed reassurance. Very poor bed side manner.

Stephen redid the root canals performed by other dentists. he used oxygen therapy and filled the roots with an alkaline mineral material. The bone regrew in 2 months as verified by X-ray. I would not trust any other dentist on Maui to work on my teeth. he is a true holistic dentist and knowledgable in many other health areas.

First my son went to Dr. Hubert and was given a 5,000 plan and started his work. only in 2013 1 filling cracked and 1 fell out. He wont go back as his new dentist doesnt see the plan given to him necessary including a oral surgeons opinion. He is getting some minor work done and going great with new dentist
I had a 20,000 estimate including him telling me I have infections in my bones that need to be removed imediately. I went to 2 surgeons and they both saw nothing. I went to 2 regular dentist and they saw nothing. I just went to a entodontic who has seen me several times in 1985 and said my bone and gums had no changes since 1985. Unbelievable dishonesty from Hubert. Im 400$ in the hole from his exrays as he doesnt take ins and none of what he told me were the same as all other surgeons and dentist with their own exrays. and 3D images. I am so bumbed with his service and even after he has seen my son and myself when I went to get exrays from him they didnt even know who I was. and gave me a copy on a piece of paper for my exrays. My new dentist had to call him to explain what exrays we wanted to get from him so we can compare.. TOTALLY stay away from DR> HUBERT> he is not the guy for my family. And by the way He talks too much

Husband had mercury fillings removed. Dr. Hubert has a special vacuum to suck up the vapors and uses a particular protocol for people who are very conscious of mercury issues . He is very meticulous and expensive.

Dr Hubert is slow and expensive but does by far the best work in Hawaii, maybe in the world. Some things can not be done fast, or cheaply, and still be of high quality. Dentistry is at the top of this list. Dr Hubert is the best!

Dr Steve was my 5th dentist on Maui. The other 4 were basically expensive butchers. Everyone is trying to support a Maui lifestyle. Steve has restored my faith. He is definitely on the leading edge of dentistry including the mainland. He errs on the side of overly caring, however knowing this I often just go to sleep when I am not watching the procedure on my screen. His work is meticulous and I expect it to last years. His staff are wonderful, skilled. And yes he is expensive however considering the alternative of flying to the mainland to the other excellent dentist I know....... He is definitely worth it.

Hubert gave me dental plan of $12,000 to replace 4 porcelain crowns, and build a bridge and perform series of 'oxygen therapy' to treat my 'deadly' gum disease. my father agreed to pay for these services upon speaking to Hubert and his explaination of how direly i needed to get these services performed for my health. 4 months we started the plan, one of the crowns( $1250) broke, by this time i was already trying to get remainder of the balance of 12,000 i paid him for services i did not want him to finish because i was very unhappy with the results, n dentistry. i went to a different dentist in kahului n was given written treatment plan of $550 and was informed that half the 'treatment' Hubert performed should have never been performed since there was no critical need to remove perfectly built porcelain crowns from 3 years ago since these crowns are built to last 5 years. i have been trying to get my $2,800back from him now they told me they used this balance for my exhusbands treatment without any authorization from me. this office is got dirty energy and dishonest people. be careful. be aware. and stay away.
