I cannot get a bridge made I'm happy with. I don't believe the lab they use is capable of doing good work. After six months and four attempts at a good bridge,I'm still unhappy. Also on the 4th attempt to get my partial to fit. When they had me try them on I'm unable to close my mouth. So I have also been without my partial 6 months. It's been very hard to eat. I want my money back, I have been more than patient with Dr Patel and staff. Drove to the office at least 8 times for nothing. And it's a 70 mile round trip. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

My Experience: Bridge

Duration: It has been six months. Was told six weeks. On 4th bridge and not satisfied. Bridge looks terrible. Teeth look so fake and they hurt my tongue and inner lip. The teeth are made so thick and they're shorter than my real teeth were. I'm so disappointed I feel sick.

I know of at least a half dozen people just by chance, who have had excessive and unnecessary work recommended or done by Dr. Susan Patel. This is corporate dentistry where volume is key, and there is a push to aggressively pursue unnecessary work on your teeth. She drilled my tooth saying the image showed the enamel was thin. NEVER get a tooth drilled for that reason. You wait and watch and drill & fill only if the surface is compromised. Tooth enamel is precious and can last a lifetime. Don't unnecessarily get it drilled. You will then have maintenance for a lifetime, which of course benefits the dentist, but not your pocketbook or your well being. An elderly couple are regularly protesting outside of her dentist office, and have left a review here. Dr. Susan Patel should have her license pulled for unethical practices in doing unnecessary work. My blood boils every time I drive by her office because I had perfect teeth.... not one cavity, not one filling, till she unnecessarily drilled that one tooth, and she did such a shoddy job after stating it could last a lifetime, that I had to have a further drilling 2 years by an actual ethical dentist. She represents the very worst of dentistry. In it solely for the money. No doubt.

About Front Desk: They are O.K. but they are complicit by association with a practice which lures people in with lost cost initial mail offerings, and then pushes expensive and unnecessary work. Seems like everyone is pitched the invsiline. Must be a big profit margin on that.

I would not recommend this money grabbing person. I went in for a cleaning. Patel said I needed three replacement crowns. I believed her. She began at 1:00; I left her office at 4:30 on 3/12/14. I also had a deep cleaning and I was 79 years old. She was unable to successfully complete #2 crown after 26 visits. She destroyed the tooth that I paid for on the above date. I ask her to return the money. She said she would if I signed a piece of paper. I agreed. Before signing the paper I read it and refused to sign it. I had to agree to not talk about my experience; if I talked I had to return the money to her and pay her expenses to sue me. Remember this was my money. Is this white collar blackmail? Instead of a piece of paper she presented a lawyer generated full sheet document. I will not sign that document and she is keeping my money. I've changed dentist and he recommended I have the root pulled. I paid her for the crown and had to pay for the pulling of root. Patel will not pay me for the tooth she destroyed nor a refund for the money she took for the # 2 tooth. She belongs to a corporation and does not fear being sued.

About Front Desk: They are unprofessional.

About Hygienist: She deserves a zero rating!

I know this doctor: Three years much too long

I only had 1 tooth that I was not satisfied with. I went and got a consultation for Dr. Patel. She told me she would be able to fix my tooth with the invisalign without any problem. She if even had invisalign in herself and stated she had a similiar problem with her teeth as I did and it would get corrected. After 5300.00 and 12 months my tooth is still not in correct alignment. She made me feel ridiculous for wanting my teeth straight. She kept saying it looked good and I know she would not have left her own teeth the way she left mine. She made it seem as if I would have to go through twice as many trays for twice as long before I'd be able to have that 1 tooth in place. She then told me I could get Veneers on that tooth to make it appear in alignment with the rest of my teeth. I could tell she didn't care. Then she even drill off the anchors that hold the trays in and scrapped off a lot of my tooth enamel. I will be going to an Orthodontist and getting another opinion on how much work it is to have this 1 incisor put in place. I wasn't even crocked, it was just pushed back and all I needed was to have it pull forward. What a shame! I don't even know if I will be able to afford getting it fixed now. I'd sue if I could.
