State of the Art Dental Group did a reasonable job taking care of root planing and scaling, as requested my my dentist. However, the financial decisions from their main office are borderline unethical to say the least. Once my insurance maxed out, the rates of their office switched to the higher "out of network" prices. Given that they delayed the presentation of my paperwork, they charged 500.00 dollars above the cost they would have charged to my insurance. In other words, they have no problem in taking a lower payment from my insurance and a higher payment from the patient. They try to blame the insurance company, arguing that my insurance "forced them" to take the extra 500.00 dollars by the type of contract that they signed. This is ludicrous. They could always return that money to patients or take the lower payment. So, this is an office that is more than happy to take a cut for the insurance company and force the higher payment on the patient. They have lost me as a patient. It doesn't matter what their legal argument is on this issue, this is a practice that fails to have the well being of the patients as their primary goal.

I have been a patient of Dr Pinsky's for 10 years now. He has treated my family and I from a root canal to braces to gum surgery , by his specialist in his office. They do everything in 1 location and Dr .Pinsky is the best dentist and all my friends I referred to him think he is the best and painless. His hygienists are very thorough and I get 1 hour for my teeth cleaning. In discussions with some of my fellow employees they tell me they get rushed by their hygienist and only get 45 minutes. They are all switching to Dr. Pinsky's office because they are really good and care!

I came in for a consult about a tooth ache with Dr. Pinsky and I had a very promising experience. The staff were so nice. The front staff were very welcoming and pleasing. The back staff were very caring and understanding. I was seen for the tooth ache on the same day since they found some time to fit me in their schedule. I am very appreciative of them and I recommend this office to any of my fellow peers/family!! Thanks!

About Hygienist: My hygienist Jessica was extremely sweet and caring. She was gentle but yet sufficient

Dr. Pinsky did extensive work to replace a old bridge I had which was causing some pain. He is the first dentist to spend extra time explaining why the current bridge was causing pain and what treatment would be required. Not only did he do the bridge work he shaped my gums to insure the new bridge fit properly. I could not be any happier with the bridge and highly recommend Dr. Pinsky and his staff.

My wife had simple filling on Oct 2012 and he finally opens the tooth and demanding to do the root cannel. He did not mention about the procedure in advance agreed to charge only 1000 dollars. Now he asking another 610 dollars and she is still having pain on the same tooth and we need to see another doctor soon. We don’t want to go for him again he refuse to released the x rays. If you love you good teeth Do Not Go There

Dr. Pinsky does not take accountability for doctors that work for him. His staff, Dr. Ira extracted 2 of my daughter's teeth unnecessarily during her first visit to the office for teeth cleaning. We were just there to get her teeth cleaned! 1 tooth was practically falling out and the 2nd tooth he didn't even wait for the Novocaine to set in and ripped the tooth out - my daughter screamed so loudly the staff and her brother in the waiting room all came running. My daughter couldn't go to school because of the bleeding and I had to miss work. My daughter is scared for life with this traumatizing experience with nightmares. Dr. Pinsky's office had the audacity to charge me over $300 per tooth. I requested consideration of fees for unnecessary extractions, and contacted him/offc several times to discuss since I work in Springfield, he would not correspond over email or by phone. He sent a $500 bill to collections affecting my credit. Dr. Ira no longer works for him. Dr. Pinsky has no problem ruining families credit. His practice is about money-not about patient care. In the break room and bathroom they have signs that tell the staff to make 'sales' vs. reminders in ethical conduct in performing necessary medical procedures.

Had to redo crown in 1.5 year. If waited longer, could loose tooth.

Dr. IRA is a Brut. He is in it for the money. Probably Dr. Pinsky's #1 salesman. He is a cheat. Do not have your small children see him because he will extract their baby teeth out in brutal fashion without making sure they are numb. My daughter to this day has nightmares of her first and only experience at Dr. Pinsky's office when she was supposed to just have her teeth cleaned and instead had 2 teeth extracted unnecessarily and then they had the audacity to send me a $600 bill. It is fraud and Dr. Ira is the worst, don't let this swindler near your kids. In their staff bathroom, they have signs motivating the employees to make at least $2000 in sales each month - - What kind of dentist does that? It's not about the person's health its about how much money you can rape from them.
Suggestion to practice owners: Don't promote sales, promote health. Be in the office so you can hear and take accountability when your dentists are ripping out kids teeths unnecessarily. Honestly I think Dr. Ira was truly proud of himself after ripping out my daughters baby teeth and hearing her scream. What kind of dentist would do that on a kid's first visit to them? I know - a bad dentist.
About Hygienist: Hygienist are gentle and probably the only ethical medical practitioners in the practice.

Charges more than insurance companies allow, collects his charges up-front and doesn't process refunds he receives from insurance company fully or quickly. Dealing with this office is more painful than any dental surgery could be without medication.

I paid more to this dentist using insurance than I paid other dentists out of pocket. There were all kinds of hidden costs and their billing practices are so confusing it's hard to understand what you're being charged for. I always waited at least 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment.
