Mediocre Dentist with inept and questionable billing practices.
First - billing is inept. They could never manage to properly bill my insurance so I kept getting notices that I owed money for normal and routine visits. I called my insurance company several times and they told me that the claims were being submitted incorrectly. After a couple of years of trying to get the staff at gentle dental to fix them, I gave up and paid the bill and went to another dentist. They were able to file the claim correctly the first time and I have never seen a bill from them.
Second - questionable charges. $25 for dental advice which pretty much consisted of telling me to brush and floss. I told Dr. Fox that I no longer required dental advice and even had them notate my file that I didn't require this "advice" but I kept getting billed for it. Same goes for the fluoride rinse. No need for it after having the fluoride applied to my teeth. Always refused the rinse when presented with it, but always billed for it in the end.
At the end of the day i cannot recommend this practice as I feel they are
1 - not very good
2 - out to fleece their patients

My introduction to the practice was with Dr. R, the other doctor in the practice. He was great, friendly, supportive, and even double checked his findings. I was really happy, until I meet Dr. Fox. She has a cold demeanor and a snappy personality when you have questions. I was having a root canal, this procedure started in May 2010, its currently August 2, 2010 and she is still not done the cleaning out of the tooth- next week I am scheduled for my 4th appointment. I find this ridiculous, so I tried to move to another dentist, no such luck, she already billed my insurance for the entire procedure. Buyer beware- If you are looking for quick service, and no long term pain (which I am in), DONT go to this practice.

Dr Fox is absolutely great! I had an unfortunate accident where I chipped several teeth and she repaired them free of charge-using only one of my allotted visits. She's always friendly and upbeat and her staff are very nice. Her office is based out of a small home in a residential area, but it almost feels like you're visiting a friends' rather than going to a dental office. I moved to Bethesda and still come back to see her because she's worth any amount of traffic!

Dr. Fox is the best. I started seeing her and now she services my entire family -- this says it all !!

Very good dentist. Highly hygineic and very ethical practice. If you don't need dental work done, she will be the first one to tell you.

Dr. Fox is wonderful! I have recommended her to many friends- she was very sweet with my little ones, also. Although the office could use some sprucing up, the service and care are top notch! The receptionist remembers you and treats you like a valued customer, plus their overall attitude makes for a surprisingly pleasent experience! Attention is prompt from the second you set foot in the door and you can expect a comfortable experience. I am a big fan and plan on returning for as long as I am local.
