What a great experience! I have described myself as a white knuckle dental chair sitter based on past procedures. Dr. Pilot was fabulous! He spent awhile to be sure the block for my root canal was thoroughly working, then he took less than half an hour to perform the actual root canal.Great chairside manner. Highest recommendations for this exceptional endodontist!!

I went to Dr. Pilot for a root canal, the first I've ever had to do. Naturally, I was scared, but Dr. Pilot assured me it would be completely painless, and lo and behold it was! His chairside manner was great, he explained everything he was doing while he was doing it, made jokes and friendly conversation while he worked, and kept me very relaxed. He worked very quickly, I was done in about 30 minutes. His office staff was very friendly and patient, explaining everything to my satisfaction. The only down side was the cost, they weren't in my insurance network so it was a bit pricey, but they worked out a convenient payment plan with me making it VERY affordable. I also found out after the fact that area dentists who need a root canal go to Dr. Pilot - if that isn't a ringing endorsement, I don't know what is! Easily the best experience I've had with any dentist ever, let alone a root canal specialist. If you need a root canal and you are within travel distance of Seattle, go see this man!

Received root canal in June 2011 and in late Oct. I am still numb. he has not been helpful helping with taking care of the problem.

I needed an emergency root canal and Dr. Pilot took care of me quickly and painlessly. I highly recommend him.

I went to 3 dentists to have a tooth treated. After 2 root canals, I continued to experience pain and infection. Dr. Pilot performed the third root canal and for the first time in several years I am pain free.
The treatment was pain-free, his personality warm and encouraging, his staff friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend Dr. Pilot to others. My dental insurance covered a large part of the expense.

I had 3 roots removed from a molar, and tooth prepped for permanent crown. Completely pain free experience, it took several shots of local anesthesia to get my gums numbed up, and assistant patiently tested the pain level with cold air until I didnt feel anything at all. Dr. Pilot was very nice; he even gave me some helpful tips regarding sinus related toothache. Staff was pleasant, office felt comfortable. Procedure was covered by my insurance.

he was amazing!! I felt completely relaxed and did not feel the shot he gave at all. They were extremely hospitable and caring.

Dr. Pilot is just excellent! I had my #15 tooth done there, and I got a crown on it at that time. I did not feel a thing during the process and I literally can eat right away after it! I did not need to take any pain killer or antibiotics at all. Dr. Pilot patched my crown too, which he did not have to do. According to my experience, Dr. Pilot is way better than some other providers. A++++!! I will definitely go to Dr. Pilot again in case I need to do root canal again.
As for expense, I think it is about the same for a specialist.

Very relaxing (and I usually panic at the dentist!)

The BEST endodontist that I have ever had. Staff are all friendly and customer service driven. I have a phobia of dental procedures and they made my experience very tolerable. I had a root canal as well as crown lengthening. Too bad he isn't a regular dentist for everyday dental stuff. I highly recomend him and his office for all your endodontic needs!
