Mendes family dentistry is awesome. Paul and Charles are amazing and I highly recommend them for anyone who is looking for a dentist. My son was very nervous about going to the dentist for the first time and Dr. Paul made him feel really comfortable.

I have never been to this dental office before BUT I hope that their dental service is better then their front desk service. The lady on the phone was incredibly rude whoever she was. She did not represent the place well at all for me as a new potential patient. She wanted all my daughter's information (social, etc.) before I could even put a word in. I would have appreciated it more if she were more friendly and less hasty. I don't regret changing my mind about them at all because I wouldn't want to deal with that lady everytime I had to call their office. Call and see for yourself how you're treated and you decide. My first impression of the place based on that one phone call was so bad it was enough for me to look elsewhere. What blew me even more away was when I actually told her how rude she was being towards me! Not even a simple "Sorry I didn't mean to come across that way." or anything. "Just fine bye."

DO NOT GO! Shamed me in front of all staff making numbers "worst case I've ever seen" sort of comments throughout painful, emotional extraction of 3 teeth. After procedure, left me alone in room in dental chair with no "take care" or good by, and then an hygienist saw me and asked, "what are you waiting for?" Nice, eh? I didn't know we were finished. Waiting for my pain meds at counter while receptionist took TWO phone calls (I'm in pain, right?). No followup of any sort - no phone call, post card, nothing. DO NOT GO THERE! Unprofessional, uncaring.

About Front Desk: Made me stand there in pain after having 3 teeth pulled, waiting for my meds, while she answered two phone calls! So unprofessional and uncaring.

I had a few fillings taken care of at this dentist. Looking back at that experience, I now realize that they had me come back 5 different times, my guess is because I was on medical assistance at the time and they could charge the state for several visits. Not to mention I had to pay out of pocket for gas at 40 dollars a visit, I didn't have the cash on my 3rd or 4th visit, so I asked if they could bill me, "no way" they said, I had to call a friend and get a debit card for them to proceed. Even left me in the middle of a filling for almost an hour to go clean a patients teeth, (are you kidding me? ). Them came back and said I need 1 more visit. Fast forward a year and in go back for a cleaning and a broken filling, got cleaning, scheduled a return for the filling, and when I show up their gas is suddenly broken when I present only 35 dollars to pay, that's all I had. I feel like I was treated poorly because I had medical assistance.

About Front Desk: Barb, the receptionist, is pretty rude and tried to make me feel bad for requesting gas, and when I said to reschedule me when they fix their gas delivery system. This is a dental office, right? I got my records, which they again tried to make me feel like a jerk about and left.

About Hygienist: Overall a decent dentist, Dr. Paul, with the exception of not explaining what he was going to be doing. Just kinda jumped right in.

Today I made the decision to pull myself as a patient of the Mendes oractice as a result of the unbelievably unprofessional and rude behavior of Barb the front desk person. Sad, as this is a great practice. But, you must surround yourself with the right staff. Too bad, but am looking forward to better treatment by receptionists, not rudeness.

I felt like the Dr. was forcing procedures. Walked out with an estimate of $2,500 of procedures that NEEDED to be done ASAP. This was 3 years ago. Still no problems. As well, they filled a number of small cavities on my child's baby teeth which actually fell out 6 months after the cavities were filled...??? Could have saved a lot of $$

Everyone in this clinic is remarkable!. The staff is so friendky and nice. I felt it was such a blessing that I found this wonderful dental clinic. Dr Charles Mendes is by far the best dentist I've ever had! He and his son are genius at what they do and the comfort that they give their patients is phenomanal. I came in after a long absence from the dentist, and there was a lot of embarrassment because of the condition of my teeth. I was made to feel so comfortable and all my anxiety went away. I will and have reccommended the Mendes Dentist to everyone!!!

As someone who has had many dental procedures done--crowns, root canals, surgical tooth extractions, fillings, and routine checkups--I highly recommend Dr. Mendes and his staff. They are skilled, gentle, courteous, and they always found time to work me in to the schedule when I had a dental emergency (and there were quite a few over the years!).
