I was referred to Dr. Spahl for severe TMJ symptoms. He is an expert in this area, and was able to instantly determine my jaw was clicking and popping and was not in the place to be comfortable as a result of failed orthodontic treatment and extractions. We was able to get my bite back to the best it could be despite the missing teeth and i am largely pain free after ten years. Erik Westgard

I had been suffering migraine headaches for almost a decade, and was referred to Dr. Spahl by my previous dentist. After an initial evaluation,I was told that through his TMJ treatment that I could expect to be free of headaches. This I found hard to believe. As my treatment progressed,I found my headaches diminishing.Dr. Spahl is a nationally known expert on TMJ relief, and here he was in my city.I had no idea, but his treatments worked. After making him my regular dentist,I have been headache free going on 6 years-I never thought it could happen. I would recommend Dr Spahl highly and without hesitation.

I went to Dr. Spahl for tmj treatment. i came from out of state. I was told .if I wore his splint for over a year during the day and his bionator at night, I would get better and heal. He said he was sure that I would get better...and I would need no adjustments. He called once a month to check on me. All i can say is that my muscle spasms and neck problems got worse and after wearing his splint for over a year....i am now going to PT and chiropractic almost daily and I am not any better with the splint treatment, but now have an open bite after wearing the splint. Also I had MRI's and it showed the joints were normal and it appears that my problems were muscle and neck related. I am sure that Dr. Spahl is very successful with treating local patients, but out of state patients need to stay close to home and be monitored closely. Long distance tmj treatment does not work for everyone and i wish I had known that before spending thousand of dollars. All dentists should only bill as treatment is performed. To pay for over a year's worth of treatment in advance, and find out, after a few months that the splint is not helping, is highway robbery.
