Dr. Geiger and his staff have always been courteous and professional. A couple of years ago I had 7 weeks of brain radiation, for a tumor. Prior to radiation Dr. Geiger and his staff went out of their way to make sure the insurance company covered a special treatment that saved my teeth. At every visit, they obtain updated medical information to make sure my dental needs meet my health needs.

I had a root canal and crown. It was painful for 3 months. The crown didn't fit right and got decay under it. Had to have the tooth pulled. It just started out as a old filling changed to white filling. My old dentist said the filling wasn't even necessary. Ended up costing me over $1000.00 just to lose the tooth. I would never repeat or recommend. Also the assistant was extremley rude (rolling her eyes at me, throwng around charts and. Just mean. Absolutely terrible dentist and staff.

About Front Desk: No comment.

About Hygienist: Ok but her breath was terrible.

I had a tooth extracted by Dr. Geiger, which he had to use a scalpel to acheive, after which he did not stitch at all. Two days later it became infected and developed a dry socket and I was in a tremendous amount of pain. He was not at all sympathetic. He packed my tooth on two occassions while it attempted to heal and negated completely my level of pain. HE did not prescribe any antibiotics for the obvious infection, nor pain medication. He simply wanted to pack the socket with clove oil which relieved the pain temporarily (about 2 hours). I was in tears and called him to ask him to please help me and he would never return my calls. I would not recommend this dentist to anybody, nor will I ever return to him. The difference in the price he quoted me and what I was actually charged was also vast in difference.

I have had major dental work performed by Dr. Douglas F. Geiger and am extremely disappointed in his work. My crowns are not fitted correctly and look very bad. The crown does not even reach to my gumline and an unsightly gap is showing. I complained of this and he attempted repeatedly have other crowns made that would fit correctly and could not fit the crown correctly even with several different attempts. Also I had a tooth filled in August. For several months I complained of pain and sensitivity. Dr. Geiger did not perform additional x-rays or any other diagnostic method to find the cause of the pain and instead made me feel as if I were just complaining too much. Finally after 6 months, the tooth that had been filled in August began to hurt unbearably...some of the worst pain I have ever experienced. I returned to Dr. Geiger only to find out that the tooth had abcessed and I now needed a root canal and a crown to save the tooth. He refused any responsibility and expected to charge over a $1000 to fix the problem. I am extremely upset with his work, chair-side manners, cost, and refusal to listen to his patient. Also his receptionist has been very rude. I would not recommend Dr. Geiger to friends or family.
