I am writing this review because I don't want this to happen to more people. When you are at your dentist and you have your mouth open and numb, you are vulnerable and it is disgraceful for someone to take advantage of this. This dentist used the fact that I'm helpless and used offensive words and comparisons towards me to make me buy more of his services , not to mention he overcharged me and couldn't make a good crown for me so I had to go there everyday for a brand new one.He harmed surrounding teeth and now I have more problems than before I went to him. The reason I stayed throughout the abuse is because I paid upfront for my crown and I didn't have money for a new dentist. He was not able to do that crown for about 4 month!!!
Please read this review as I would hate for another woman to have to go through this.
In a nutshell: deceiving and misleading business practices, terrible dentistry work, you will get many other problems while you are there, he has the habit of peeling teeth next to the one he is working on and that caused pain and unnecessary damage. Something he shouldn't do if he was a good dentist. Finally, he will try to sell you mouth guards and if you don't want to buy it he will start offending you.
I write all in detail if you want to read. It's below:
1. This office doesn't have basic business ethics nor skills- they told me the follow ups on my temporary crown are going to be their financial responsibility. Suddenly they gave me a bill. These charges were never discussed. And they were given to me few appointments after they allegedly happened.
2. Juliao could not make a good temporary crown for me. It kept breaking within 2 hrs or a day. I kept going back and waisting time. He kept blaming me about it. The truth is that he never took the proper time to make it. Once he did, it stayed on for a month but to get to that point I took a lot of abuse and had to be there everyday.
3. I changed my insurance and before doing so I called and asked if they work with this insurance. I was told yes. Suddenly when I was handed those unexpected charges I was told that they do not work with this insurance. I asked the same woman "why did you tell me you do?" She said " we do work with this insurance, but we are not in their network so you have to pay for your services"
4. Juliao couldn't do my crown well and he peeled off half of my upper tooth. I can't eat now on that side because while he was doing it I was in agonizing pain... turns out that this tooth is now in need of root canal too because of all the unnecessary work he did on it.
5. Through out the 6 month he has been my dentist he kept trying to sell me a moth guard. Finally when I didn't show interest he started with the offenses " you look like a boxer. You are so masculine , your jar is so big... if you get a mouth guard with me your featured will soften up" these offensive comments where done many times... I only stayed with him because I needed to finish a crown I already had paid for upfront. I'm glad this is over.
